Have you heard of the pasta brand Tolerant? They make different kinds of pastas with only one ingredient: organic red lentils, organic black beans or organic green lentils! They are so delicious too!

Thank you for the great video. I'm glad I discovered you! Do you have any diet recommendation for Hypothyroidism? I'm extremely fatigued and exhausted all the time. The hormone supplements aren't really helping.😔

+Ayat Abuagla I would suggest booking a session with a natural healthcare practitioner because there are definitely some nutrients in your diet you may be lacking to support thyroid function. I would start with food first, eliminate any potential food allergies or intolerances, reduce stress and eat a very very nourishing diet which means no refined sugar, alcohol, fried foods etc. I've got tons of recipes in my book JOYOUS HEALTH: Eat and Live Well Without Dieting (link above) and on my blog too.

Hi! I just found your channel!!! Omg, you're such an inspiration!!!From early childhood to my current age (27) I've eaten pretty unhealthy...... And I'm finally ready to change my lifestyle.... I don't want to just lose weight..... I want to change my life.... I want to eat as clean and wholesome as possible.... I don't want to become diabetic or have high cholesterol etc! ....... Speaking about cholesterol- my doctor said to stay away from Coconut oil because I have borderline high cholesterol! Is this true??

Unfortunately, your Dr. and I (and most current research) do not share the same thoughts about cholesterol and saturated fats. As much as I would love to make both, we don't have the resources here in Canada to make homemade coconut milk and coconut butter all the time. I use Cha's Organics Full Fat Coconut Milk (www.joyoushealth.com/15-jhapproved-cha-s-organics-coconut-milk) and Artisana Organics Coconut Butter which are just as good :)

I love this video!! I'm going to check out your tea. I'm looking for something to help reduce stress. I'm struggling with losing weight despite eating very healthy, exercising, etc. I just got my bloodwork done and it was perfect; I don't have thyroid issues. So I'm thinking maybe stress?

+Rachel Donnell Stress definitely affects your ability to lose weight. I have lots of articles on my website on ways to reduce stress and stress-busting supplements. The other lifestyle habit to look at is sleep. Often when stressed, you're not sleeping well either. When you are sleep deprived this lowers your metabolism, increases inflammation and hampers the hormones that shut-off appetite. I can't say enough about the importance of sleep for weight loss!

much like olive oil, matcha tea should always be kept in a tin with as little air as possible. when there is a lot of light hitting the matcha it ruins the tea.

As for questions, l would love to see a video about going gluten and wheat free (I actually have a dermatitis from gluten) so l struggle with all those cross contaminated foods/non foods items, so any advice or video on that topic would be appreciated!

This is the best way to avoid cross-contamination because foods that come in packages can often have sneaky ingredients like gluten but they need to be disclosed when over a certain level (at least in Canada). Additionally, healing your gut health may help improve your intolerance to gluten -- so eating fermented foods and taking a high quality probiotic will help you skin!

Yes, and yes, l forgot to mention that I mostly cook at home and l take probiotics and fermented foods, and while that helped a lot, l still break out from time to time and can't even pinpoint why! Who know there's so much hidden gluten all around us, even in medicine?

+Green Life In Dublin Hello! Maybe this tip will help you! I also had break outs from time to time and it was from cooking with olive oil. Only use coconut oil or ghee nowadays and it's gone! (Two years and counting!)

+Aalia Mahmood I use blackstrap molasses on porridge and in baking. It's a great source of iron, potassium, magnesium and some B vitamins. It's a superfood for menstruating women.

+resh3027 I use Genuine Health's Fermented Vegan protein. Just like most protein powders it will say "not during pregnancy or while breastfeeding" because there haven't been safety studies done. However, just look at the ingredients and then you make a decision based on what is in it. I would suggest checking with your natural healthcare practitioner to feel confident.

Tanya Oostdam This video is a couple of years old now and what I use changes but what I would suggest is to go to your local health food store to source the superfoods you enjoy. Typically I avoid pesticides and choose organic when purchasing a superfood.

Hi, does going in your pantry annoy you, to take out stuff every day, and you can't see anything unless you take it out, lol. It's all in the cabinet. Have you ever tried putting it in draws like near the stove, so you can get to your spices easily? They have those spice drawers instead of a lazy susan.
