Ms. de Havilland was 48 when this originally aired in 1964. Old by the standards of yesteryear. But she was still four years away from being at the half-way point of her life--living to 104. Good for her.

Ms.DeHavilland, was such a great, actress, and most of her roles, were so geared toward her gifted abilities.Errol Flynn and her were in some of the most adventurous, romantic movies in history,I think.Thank you for sharing this " What's My Line" show.

Dorothy got that Police woman right away. Arlene has a Steve Allen type of humor : "I can't hold a Dog house in my hand like I could when I was younger." (I was paraphrasing what she had said, which I thought was very funny.) Miss DeHavilland is now in 2019, 103 years old.

Considering that Dorothy just had her turn quizzing the policewoman, why was she chosen as the first person to question the next contestant?

@@user-gq1sh4kf4w i was wondering the same thing. I think they do that for times sake. John Daly runs a really tight ship when it comes to time. And i think they know she'll start things off and if not nail it at least get it all off to a quick start just to save time ⏰

@@Celisar1 They were so close in age. Her sister was always giving her unflattering (backhanded) " compliments", downing her first husband (writer)...and bragging that "though younger, I did everything before Olivia". Joan sounds pretty narcisstic to me... there lots more, but it appears Olivia tried to take the high road in a bad situation by distancing herself.

I want to know if this is fixed sometimes? How in the world did Dorothy come up with Police Woman right off the bat??? I know she's probably the most genius panelist I've ever seen (sorry Bennet, but you are very closely behind her) but within a few quires she's like a hound dog on its prey! Her powers of deduction are/were unparalleled! Now we can see why she was killed because of the JFK assination. She must have been on the scent as quickly as she said 'Policewoman!'

CBS Standards and Practices would not have permitted panelists to know who the mystery guest was in advance. If a panelist learned by accident who it was, they were instructed to disqualify themselves and not play.
