This is my 2nd Keurig coffee maker of this model. kzitem.infoUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first worked fine for more than 2 years, and I could still get a decent cup of coffee out of it if I fiddled with it when I decided to replace it. The problem I had with my first unit was this: When attempting to brew a cup of coffee, the unit would either keep brewing until the coffee was undrinkable or it would not run long enough and the coffee produced was way too strong. I cleaned the unit as best I could but it did not help. So in the end it was just too much trouble to get a good cup of coffee out of it, so I decided to replace it with a new one, which has been working great since I unpacked it.

I have a 2.99 plastic pour over cone, works pretty great for the 2-3 cups per day it usually makes. I punted the family's basic kettle off the stove and replaced it with a 1L gooseneck. I cut the bottom off a yogurt cup to use as an adapter for my skinny travel mug so the pour over can brew directly into it. I've also used a funnel to brew into bottles. I also brew over ice to make quick and easy iced coffee. I love that I can make whatever intensity I want, whatever volume (for a single person) that I want, and brew into any vessel. It's the best. I don't even drink regular coffee, I just drink decaf, so you know I'm addicted to the flavor lol.

Great entertainment as always! Pro coffee tip (self proclaimed pro): I've become obsessed with home brewing since the start of lockdown and have learned so much on that topic. The biggest tip I've received is that your grinder can drastically improve the quality of brew. I used to use the Hario hand grinder but have upgraded. Best overall home grinder bang for the buck is the Fellow Ode V2. It's $345 and worth every cent.

I’m Pontus and as a coffee nerd I endorse this message. BUT…. Get a better grinder my guys! It makes a difference. With a cheep-o grinder like that you will get uneven coffee grinds which means your coffee will be both underextracted and overextracted at the same time. Also, you might wanna get a “clever dripper”. It’s super convenient and easy to use and gives consistent coffee.

Pour over is the best. I just boil water in a pot, then throw in the coffee grounds and let them sit for like 8 minutes, then pour the coffee out carefully with a spatula to keep the grounds in the bottom of the pot. Very quick, and way easier to clean than a coffee pot.
