By the time that you purchase 4 of those packs of rosemary, you could have purchased a huge rosemary plate from Home Depot. Cut what you need and grow the plant forever. And house...will smell AMAZING!

New subbie. I had my locs for almost 3 years, and I used rosemary water on my baby locs to strengthen them and it also helped my hair loc up at 4 months. I made my infusion different, I boiled bottled water in a small saucepan and took it off the heat and added about 1/4 cup dried rosemary and let it steeped for 15 minutes. The steeping doesn't kill all the nutrients as boiling will. Then I strained it. I used it everyday for about 6 months. One thing I learned about locs is to keep it simple because your locs are constantly changing every month. The first two years is about health and patience. And your locs will look like no one else's, appreciate and love the journey with them.

+MsMalika64 I love the idea of steeping and not killing the nutrients! Brilliant! What do you use to steep with the rosemary herb? Do you still have your locs? Thank you so much for watching! Much appreciated :)

Lauren Jackson I used bottled water in small saucepan and let it become hot but not boil. Then remove the pot from the burner. I would usually take a clean knee hi stocking and put about a quarter of a cup of dried rosemary in it and drop it in the water to steep 15 minutes or so. Rosemary has a strong scent so I didn't want mine too aromatic. I placed it in a sprayed bottle and mist my hair in the morning and evening until my hair became fully locked at 4 months. I got this idea from an excellent book I brought on Amazon The Knotty Truth:Creating beautiful Locks on a dime by Michele George. I learned so much about locs, and about interlocking too. It's a nice size book and worth the investment. You should check it out. Yes, I do still have my locs which I almost cut off during the summer ( due to the heat and sweat). I had a growth spurt and they are starting to go past my shoulders. My hair should be long enough to put in up-dos so my locs won't be touching my neck in the summer lol.

+Stacey theNaprika it's definitely worth a try, but as you probably know, everyone's hair reacts differently to certain products. Good luck to you! And I appreciate your feedback :)

+Lauren Jackson dat won't affect ur hair in any way color wise it may seem dat wat but it's not it's actually cleaning ur hair cause one u got dreads it'll naturally turn brownish n like u said reddish over a period or time cause it's dead hair basically feel me so u can always tell it someone dying their hair or not even if they say they aren't, say u using product like shampoos n conditioners to keep ur hair black or jus the original color it may seem like it's working but it's the illusion of the chemicals so wen u start using natural stuff like herb rinse n stuff like dat it cleans away all the illusion of the chemicals in ur hair so it might appear like its staining hair or whatever but it's not it's jus bringing out how ur hair would b really looking naturally some ppl don't like dat so they dye their hair their choice

Thank you! How did the rosemary water turn out for you? And I can't say with assurance that the rosemary water helped with the growth of my locs. But I can say that I liked that it was natural, simple, and I liked the idea that it would moisturize or slightly strengthen my hair. Which, could help with keeping my hair strong to maintain length. I know, that was a mouth full haha but I don't want to mislead you on thinking that certain things promote growth, but that healthy hair instead is the goal! Hope this helps, and good luck with your rosemary water :)

@paradiseawaits821
7 жыл бұрын
+bawhiskfw I use to be in your shoes. I can give you tips that helped me after decades of struggling with my hair. If you don't already, get you a good water filter for your shower that focuses on softening your water and getting rid of as much chlorine as it can. If you can't do that, then only wash your hair with bottles of distilled or purified water. It won't matter what wonderful things you put on your hair (such as in this great video), it will continue to be dry and hard and break no matter what you put on it. If you are using detergent shampoos, try some of these methods until one works better for you: water wash only method (great videos on here about that), teas, Apple vinegar and there are many more things you can use besides shampoo. Try using vegetable glycerin with water for a leave in conditioner, 1 part to 3 part water or mix it with the Rosemary and see if it helps some. Use warm water on your hair, not cold or hot. After a while, I only needed to spritz once a day or every other day. Keep it simple, less is better, our hair is dead tissue once out of the scalp, it does not need a lot of products on it, that is just an advertisement buying ploy and myth, keeps our hair constantly dry, where we think we need them more and more. Drink plenty of water everyday, eat lots of vegetables, fruits, beans, nuts, and exercises that are fun for "you." Have your thyroid checked by a good Doctor for balance and your gluten levels. If you are gluten intolerant, it will effect your thyroid, which will dry your hair and skin out like a dessert. You can try it yourself by just eliminating gluten from your diet for a while. Hard to start doing that, I know :-) but it will be worth it. You will learn what good foods you can eat but I hope you don't have these issues like I do. Just remember, when your body is trying to balance itself from the inside to the out, it may take a while for things to balance out right. Don't give up. I hope this helps you some, they helped me.
