You’ve probably heard of gutters being referred to as either residential or commercial, but is there really a difference? Yes, there really is! Commercial gutters are fabricated from a heavier gauge of metal than residential gutters, are mounted with heavier clips, and are designed to be able to transport significantly higher volumes of water. This is an important distinction to make, because commercial roofs are typically much larger than residential roofs, requiring more in the way of roofing surface drainage capabilities. In today’s episode of Roofing Mythbusters, Luke Wilson of Skywalker Roofing starts by showing us a side-by-side comparison of both gutter types. Luke next walks us through the on-site fabrication & installation process for commercial gutters, and describes why custom seamless gutters are a superior solution to sectional gutters.
