Andreas very good advice, sleep was a big one for me. I had always heard sleep was important from everyone, but once I actually started sleeping more I felt better and performed a lot better.

There is a direct correlation between testosteron and amount of sleep, at least for up to 8 hours. Not sure what it does afterwards. Sleep is at least as important as nutrition and exercising

there's that thing called trying to progress too quickly ,you start failing your lifts and one fine day your strength is lowered .slow increase of weight over the right time keeps pr's coming regularly .thats what i do .also if your schedule is too taxing with not enough recovery that happens ,it happened to me ,i immediately incorporated more rest sessions .

I've noticed that looking at total PRs helps morale more than individual lifts PRs, in the past year I felt like I made minimal progress if any, till I realized that at a meet a year ago my total was 100 lbs less than the last mock meet I did

Dude this video is so for me. I went from hitting a goal of 5x5 225-245. Then the overtraining hit me and just one set of 5 with 225 became an all out effort, even after deloading.

The program wasn't a 5x5. That was just one of the session goals I had. It was an undulating intensity program.

@McMeatBag

@@koengreen2540 I've been using Barbell Medicine's low fatigue templates. It feels like just the right amount of intensity and volume for me. Instead of having good sessions that spiral into regression, it's been continuously good workouts.

Try beginning your training days with a top single at around 8 rpe before doing your volume sets. If you commonly watch this channel or follow very many other high-level powerlifters you'll notice that many have included these in their training. Doing moderate/heavy singles frequently gets you used to handling heavier percentages while not being too taxing to your sets afterward (because you leave it at 8-8.5 rpe). It's also possible that your bracing isn't as good as it could be, if you think that might be the case I'd recommend looking up videos on proper core bracing queues and ways to practice it.

Great, basic advice for those wondering why their lifts are stalling-analyze technique, analyze volume, frequency and exercise selection........then try something different, try higher frequency, try a day off, target weak points....speed work could help some people also.

hey Bryce and poeple in the comments section I hope that you are all good ! I got a question for you : I was doing conventional deadlift + low bar squat and got a 240kg squat and 260kg deadlift. My coach made me switch up to sumo and squat with a way more upright torso. Since then my glutes seem to never recover, impacting in a bad way my lifts. I now struggle to squat 140kg for set of 10... I don't know what to do man, nothing seem to make them recover even 3-4 days of rest, what should I do ?

Hey Bryce, lately I feel lots and lots more comfortable with using knee wraps and every time I go back to using sleeves my form is just awful. How should I go over fixing that? Just using cues and tempo squats?

Depends on the load your using on wraps and raw sleeved squat also you may not have recovered and etc, make one change if that doesn't work I. E decrease the reps or load than try something else different. That's my 2 cents

Hey, just a note. Your left shoulder is 2-3cm higher than your right, is this a injury/postural issued you’ve had for a while? Or do you need to book in to see a chiropractor? I had the same issue a few months ago and it was a rib out of place.
@mkl1464
6 жыл бұрын
My posture is kind of similar to his. It's not obvious unless you really pay attention. According to my x-ray my spine is not exactly straight but so far it haven't affected me whatsoever. Asymmetrical bodies are not really that rare for very minor cases. What happened to your rib anyway?
