Becoming WFPB is the best thing I've ever done, I've overcome binge-eating and emotional eating, I've become very slim (which is what I wanted) and have maintained my slim weight, I only wish I'd done it earlier as the SAD way of eating really blighted my personal and professional life for decades. But it's never too late and at 57 I feel so healthy and can even say I love my very imperfect body, I like myself and look good in clothes (they cover the saggy bits too!). I feel like I've been reborn and started living. My brain fog/poor memory/concentration have gone and I've become a positive grateful person after decades of chronic depression and feeling suicidal. Thank you Dr Fuhrman and all the wonderful WFPB lifestyle doctors and health professionals who publish these insightful, helpful videos, you are literally lifesavers!

Most of the people I see out there eat and behave in such a way as if they don't care if they die 20 or 30 years premature. But when that day comes for them, I bet they wish they had cared.

Go vegan for your health, whole food plant based. Go vegan for the animals. Go vegan for the planet. Go vegan and be healthier and happier. A lower risk of heart disease and cancer for you and a better planet for everyone, human and animals. Eating healthy is not a diet it is a healthy life style.

Everything must be measured dry (that's what I heard). Your recommended amount is 1 cup of beans and 1 cup of whole grains per day. In other words, can you eat 200g of beans and 200g of bulgur per day? Isn't that high in carbs?

Everyone counts raw materials. When you start cooking, you cannot know how much something will weigh. I was taught that everything should be measured raw. Does this mean, for example, 50/100g of beans and 100g of bulgur per day?

@@ironjohnThe grains & beans you eat you measure cooked, not raw. They expand upon cooking.

I don't usually say things like this, but he outstrips Dr. John Mcdougall, who I personally think has now over the last 5 years lost the plot! John Mcdougall has some great things to say but equally recently cherry picks as NEVER backs down if wrong because his ego is too large. We he admits himself. I find Joel is open to new science and evolves.
