Everyday people don't have that kind of money to blow on clothes. Personally, I don't think it's how much you paid for it, but what you do with it. I think you can look just as nice in cheaper clothes. Especially if your body is super fit. A body that's in shape, can look good in anything.

Half of those labels he mentioned well most I have never heard of. A lot of high end labels are UGLY! I think too much pressure is placed on labels and not just looking nice and presentable. One of the things a lot of people around me never liked was that I invested into my image. When I changed my wardrobe 3 years ago to a more lady like luxury appearance people and mainly men respond to me differently and gave me a new level of respect. Investing into your wardrobe is very important due to how people treat you based on the room or circles you want to be associated with. I find your best investment is within yourself and if you want to elevate you have to make the change! I am happy I am not the only one who understand this logic!

I’ve seen women rock an Aldo bag & shoes who look like a million bucks and others in Balenciaga that look like trash ! Class. That’s what matters. Also, do not put yourself in debt trying to get all these name brands. Wealthy, high caliber people don’t give a shit about that. One of my biggest passions in life is fashion (i also have a small online boutique since 2011) and one of the things that i know is that money don't make you stylish or classy, fashion is not about spending hundreds and thousands of dollars only on the biggest designer brands and throwing them on you thinking now you have style. No matter how much money i would have, i would never spend it on expensive items that look like $5-$10 common average clothing or rags. So it's not about the brand name, it's about how special, high-quality and unique that item is. You can create yourself an entire awesome wardrobe buying online on sale and clearance as i do, you just have to be passionate and patient to keep your eyes out for unique beautiful garments and accessories that will form your own personal style.

I dress comfortably, and have a fashion sense where I can make anything look like a million bucks. I’m starting to be approached by white men more, although that’s not what I’m trying to attract. The key to clothing is to shop high and low. If you are in a position where you are still building your bank account or can't afford brand name clothing, then by all means utilize places like forever 21 etc, shop basics/classics, not whats in for the moment. Invest in a good pair of heels, jacket, and jewelry to pull your look together. Regardless to if you are natural or not, make sure your hair is pulled together. Use a good whitening tooth paste, and avoid cheap body spray and perfumes, do spend on a quality fragrance. If you are over a certain age avoid large logos, you are not a walking billboard... when have you ever seen execs, doctors, lawyers, etc wearing that type of attire. They may have it on, but its not like hey look at me I got on Gucci. Its usually a very small logo if anything especially anyone over 35, but at the end of the day wear what makes you happy you only have one life to live....

We are announcing our standards with our dress code when we are presenting ourselves to others, especially when it comes to the opposite sex. Naomi instructed Ruth to wash, anoint herself and put a cloak around her and to lay at Boaz feet. Esther along with the hundreds of other young virgins had to go through a beauty ritual/spa treatment (cleansing & purification process) for an entire year and they were give the best jewerly and clothing to chose from to put on before each one presented herself befor the king. It's not just about looking good, personal hygiene is very important as well. Men are turned off by offensive odors, and women who dont practice self-care.

I completely understand and agree...I like to dress cute conservative, and I don't mind spicing it up for my man..however, what I have noticed is that if I see he gives low effort then I give low effort too... he has to come in with his masculine energy, looking and being a leader and that makes me feel so much more feminine and inspired to please him with something sexy, from my hair, nails, smell, dress everything...we feed each other.

I love the concept of this video and the strong message it carries. I am a black woman in my early twenties and a college student. I’m a little over 5’5 and have quite a slim build - I’ve always been this way. I have what you’d describe a rectangle shaped body. Therefore, I have the ‘straight up and down’ type with a flat chest and bottom. I’ve struggled since my teen years with my body confidence. I’m African and the bodies that are accepted more are curvier ones. Unfortunately do not fit that group. I am a Christian too and I believe that of course I am wonderfully made by God. But it’s truly crushing when I feel I can never look amazing in clothing. I sometimes try to wear clothes and styles that suit my body type but even so those styles sometimes aren’t really ‘my style’. It’s hard to feel good in a body I dislike. I am healthy which I am very grateful for. I rarely show my skin or other body parts such a breasts. If anything my upper chest or arms may be on show. I love fashion and have a good sense of style. It just sucks when other girls can wear the simplest of clothes, I.e skinny jeans and a nice top and look 10/10. I know that most guys in particular do not find my body shape attractive and it’s such a hard pill to swallow. I accept the way I’ve been made and don’t dress provocatively or showing too much, but when other girls get attention and fawned over so much, it’s hard to be on the other side. How do I come to terms with this and not let it get to me so much?

At the end of the day, we have to learn to accept and love ourselves. You have your own unique identity and purpose. God did not make us using a cookie cutter. Who will receive you, let them be attracted to you for being your authentic self. Point blank. Other than that, you'll spend your life chasing an identity that's not yours. I have learned to embrace and be me: my style, my uniqueness, etc. I value a nice presentation for sure and I get the message, but will not allow pop culture to dictate my worth. So be encouraged and embrace the you God created you to be.

Cheer up Queen! Go to Pinterest or Google to style images of the following slim Black/Latina Celebrities - Zendaya, Aaliyah, Zoe Saldana, Jada Pinkett. I am slim too with mini curves but I embrace it. We have miniature model body 😊 because we are short and slim. Quick style tips- high waisted gap jeans with a solid color cropped t shirt or a-lined dresses or Adidas black track joggers with zipper near ankle with white tee & jean jacket. Small women have to accentuated their best features i.e. if you have great legs were shorts or skirts that stop just above your knee ( not too short). Don't worry Sis you will love your body once you're older or have children ❤️

It's true. I tried to have a talk with one of my cousins about this. She's about to go off to college and did not think it's fair that people judge you off of how you look. But it's a common thing. We all do it, even if we don't mean to be rude about it. How we present ourselves say a lot.

Well that common thing will get a lot of people thrown in hell being materialistic, judgmental, and worldly. He say it’s not being materialistic but actually it is in the common eye for most people. It’s not about what you wear. It’s how you wear it. People just need to find what works for their body and know when to dress appropriately. Such as, pool parties etc. that’s when it’s appropriate to show a Lil skin. Social media as if today is pushing name brands. Especially influenced by celebrities. So people will try to keep up to some degree. If you don’t wear name brand and be flashy, then that makes you average. I say dress for the occasion. Most people today gotta have high ranked name brand clothes just to fit in. It’s sad. God talks about this very topic that will ruin the masses eternity. Because they too worried about impressing people just to say they got it like that.

@@faithlagofmustardseed1785 No one is talking about impressing people. A lot of people do struggle with taking this topic too far. But what you wear is a part of your self expression, so it does say something important about you that most people may overlook. Our clothes are part of that representation of us. It also goes back to that line between realistic and materialistic. What you put out, you attract. Some people want someone who dresses nicely and puts more care into their look but won't do it themselves. Or say they want someone to love them for them, but if they don't look the part they don't stand a chance. Is it fair? No, but representing yourself well does make it easier to gravitate towards the right friends, opportunities and maybe even a husband or wife that you may want. Im not saying to go overboard. But it's a fine line for sure. This is why its hard to get into heaven. That line is a straight and narrow path in the midst of many avenues. So how you take that walk is up to you.

I had this conversation with a close relative & she was very resistant. We often go grocery shopping together & she is very critical about me dressing up while she looks bummy (tights, Nike slides, with a messy bun on her head). I realized as I progress in life we will likely become distant since we don’t share the same views, values, or goals.

@@beac8238 Sometimes it happens that way smh. It's hard for people to practice what they preach. Maybe one day you could change her mind and be an example to help her see how she's not seeing the whole picture. At the same time, if you gotta love and pray for her from a distance, I can totally relate to that happening too. I hope it works out for the best for both our family. I love to see success all around.

Just because you don't see me wearing it or driving it, doesn't mean I can't afford it, I just have more important priorities. It may not be name brand clothing, shoes, purses etc., but I can look still look nice. Before I pay $200 or more for clothing, purses, shoes, I can put that money towards the principal balance on my home. I've just purchased my second home. I wouldn't be able to do that if I was spending on expensive clothing, purses, etc. Clothes depreciate in value, houses increase in value.

I'm sad that most comments here are defensive. Most miss THE point. I'm older, 70, like classic clothes and basically ignored the message he is sharing. UNTIL, when at 55 a real estate board exec who had hired me for a 5 DAY seminar quietly told me my attire was NOT high caliber enough for my attendees. My students were Realtors and attorneys. I was recognized as THE industry's leading foreclosure expert at the time. My fee of $2,500 per day, plus expenses was reflective of the fact that I was THE EXPERT. I was travelling as a national, well paid, well regarded speaker. I wasn't dressing the part. I appreciated her candor. I didn't appreciate THESE people evaluating my KNOWLEDGE based on THEIR standard of what an expert looks like. After considering it prayerfully I decided to upgrade my clothes. I had already upgraded my shoes because you can't stand all day and speak I. 60.00 shoes, (my old standard) like you can in 150-200 shoes. (my new standard) I came from a poor, southern A American background. God made me smart and elevated me but I didn't have life experiences, mentors ( or Tony Gaston) to tell me I was a diamond, in a paper bag. I did learn, I did adapt, jewelry, hair everything. And went on to do well until God gave me a new assignment. Listen to Tony and apply WISDOM, to suit your situation, your goal, your Intent. I had a message to be delivered so I needed to be dressed as a messanger who would be received. Pray. Adjust as needed. In Christian love, Ms. Millie

I found it very difficult in my 40s to find looks that aren't making me look too old or too young, especially for summer time. Pintrest is a good search tool for looks that are age appropriate, body flattering and classy. I am very short with a nice shape so i have to be very careful with dresses and shorts in the summer. Its a struggle to find the happy medium when its 99 degrees outside. Thanks for the video.
