The same people online are the same people you see in public. Dating offline doesn’t mean you won’t meet a psychopath. EDIT: It’s weird that some of you are trying to debate 🧐. People with common sense know there’s a risk dating anyone no matter where you meet them.

The dating app is just worse because people can make all kinds of fake lives and profiles, they can even use fake pictures and when you meet them in person you will see the dark side of them and it's over, and won't nobody know who the real monster is, women seem to let their guard down more because online it can make you feel as if you've known them for a long time while knowing nothing about them, in person dating you'll at least get some signs right off and see awkward behavior that can warn youz though some can hide all that and be completely charming for a longer period until you see some signs, I just rather date in public vs through apps on any given day. I actually rather be single for now than date at all. Women should get their license to carry, the media also doesn't make black women aware of the amount of serial killers in our own communities, I have talk to plenty of black folks who swear serial killers are majority white when that isn't true and been changed over the last 60 years.

The first sign that someone is a narcissist is when they contact you SEVERAL TIMES in a row without you replying even once. If you get with one of these, remember this advice. You block them and they will call you from an unknown number. If they text you or call you five times and you have not reciprocated at all, even once, red flag! It doesn't matter if it's five times over 2 weeks, the idea that they are still persistent in this scenario shows you the type of harassing behavior that you are about to endure. They do not take no for an answer and they become obsessed with you, which usually doesn't end well. Narcissists are almost always stalkers.

mz morton id say, I wish more young ladies understood how to say “Nope” when, (out of what feels like nowhere) a man u thought was starting to care about you as a woman and a person says something completely off the wall and beyond. These chemicals that are happening in our brains when romantic stuff is happening are very primitive sometimes; they tell us to chill and relax and things will be okay. (That means don’t make him mad.) Unfortunately they are primitive in that don’t tell us to automatically go “Nope” and disappear ourselves out of his life. And yeah those primitive chemicals kept this woman alive. So in that way they did save her. I still hate thinking like potential prey while dating. Anyone else think it’s bs that women have to think like potential prey, when we are actually on our way to hopefully being someone’s special one? No wonder make us mad to see this.

After about like 2 years of me knowing him we started sleeping together which made us friends with benefits lol. I would go over his house like 2 or 3 times a week to chill. Sometimes we'd have sex and sometimes we'd just watch movies and discuss life.(everything I just said is irrelevant to the story but whatever lol) Anywho, Regardless of what we did I'd always end up spending the night. Well, this one particular night after we'd finished doing our business I got this uneasy feeling and I had to go, I was so uncomfortable being in his home I even asked him to come stay at my house for the night because I just knew something bad was gonna happen. He thought I was tripping and needless to say, he didn't come with me. The next day a friend of mine called and told me that some guys broke into his home, robbed him, and shot him. He survived though, thank god. Always, always trust that gut feeling.

The red flag was when he threatened her son then asked her to go to the park. Ladies notice the red flags immediately and get cameras around your home or let your family or friends know your in danger. You can meet a crazy person in person or online. I advise women delay meeting these people in person and talk and get to know them first. Never tell them where you live or ride in their car or let them ride in yours. Meet in a public place only!

I don't understand why some women will forgive or overlook a threat to their children. I can forgive threats against me but if someone threatens my child, there is no way in this system of things that I will even have a hello for that person. I was watching a true crime on ID. The lady stayed with the man after he tried to drown her son right in front of her. He ended up murdering both boys.

I used dating apps in the past, here are some tips for anyone using or planning to start using dating apps: 1 - Always ask for a voice call/facetime, Make sure no one is catfishing you, report their account if they are and immediately block that number. 2 - If you are going out on a date, always alert a close friend or family member where you are going and give them updates on how your doing and if your safe or not in case if their is an issue. If your in danger have that close friend or family member alert the cops if possible. 3 - And this is extremely important, always trust your gut. If you feel like this certain person is not the one or if you think that they are sketchy or dangerous, simply do not go out with that person and block all contact with them, there are some terrible and horrendous people on there. Hope these help any of you in some way. Stay safe!

@@skydelight The only reason daring apps are being scapegoated in this situation is because dating has revolved it around non social behavior. This society is very closed off and people don’t meet in open ways. Western societies have dating coaches for males. If it was other countries this wouldn’t be the case because they are more open like Brazil. Also women are empowered with a lot of things and Me Too doesn’t help the average guy. This story adds fuel to a closed off non outlet society which hides psychopaths to good dudes who might be lame in women’s eyes. But over the years this westernized American society has become more closed off.

Everything that looks good or seems good is DEFINITELY not. Too many people trolling for SOMETHING on SOCIAL MEDIA/DATING APPS. That’s why I steer clear.

The difference between online dating and regular dating is that on the app you can talk to six different people all at the same time and get to choose which one is best for you. So your chances of meeting a stalker are higher.

Right. It needs to go back to times where people met normally in person, not on dating sites, cell phones and everything else. It's truly sad.

That judge needs to be removed from the bench! He actually said, "How was i to know?" YOU RUN A BACKGROUND CHECK FOR HIS PRIOR CONVICTIONS, JUDGE! You have the power to do that easier than anyone. Plus, what he did to this woman was enough to throw him in jail.
