When you're watching a foreign TV show and it goes wrong...
What would learning a language be like if it were a Hollywood movie?
Lamont, Captain Sinbad and Joakim find out.
Much of this film makes no sense. I bet you can't spot as many errors as I can!
Huge thanks to CAPTAIN SINBAD for lending his smooth American vocal cords to this video:

• How To Learn Languages
Alfonso Cuaron is one of my favorite directors, because of the skill with which he handled Gravity. I am not a proper filmmaker but what I know about is language learning, so this is my tribute to Cuaron and a language learning movie at the same time. Films like Gravity are not about space or rockets, but about humans and the struggle to do what we need to. Language learning by immersion, or language learning in general is hard, like the task Dr Stone is faced with in Gravity. In order to learn a language immersing, you will need courage and determination. Movies like Gravity by spanish speaking Alfonso Cuaron, inspire that courage. Gravity language learning is also an analogy I have used before. Native language Gravity is very strong. Can you learn by immersion? You certainly can learn a language that way. Can you learn a language asleep? Probably a not. Can you learn a language in a year? Maybe if you put in 8 hours a day. Can you learn a language in a month? Definitely not, even at 12 hours a day. But you can learn a language by immersion, you and you can learn a language by listening to it. That is what this language learning film is about.
