And even when they're preteens the antics don't stop. So when they were younger, this is why I'd tell my folks, my sister and my inlaws I wasn't free for phone calls til 9am if neither of them were home sick, or not until 9pm or later, after they're asleep.

Mine definitely act like this. Most of you don’t remember yourself before the age of six so I am skeptical of how disciplined you really were. Or your kids are. Kids that are too docile and quiet are a sign of excessively forceful parenting, not good parenting.

Mine aren’t and never have been. Children are a product of their environment and mine have been raised in a calm one. I was as well. The amount of times I can remember my parents yelling can be counted on 2 hands.

My sister loved to let the toddler interrupt our conversations. I was tired of it and asked to speak to him. Then I told him to go to his room and play with his trucks until mommy came and got him. He stayed in there for the 10 minute call duration and I was one happy auntie.

I wish I could say that. I am known as a good Mom now, but I had 2 extremely strong willed children of the three. Life was interesting there for a while. All three became Marines. People now ask me how I raised such great kids but life was interesting there for a while

I am known as a great Mom. I have had Pastors ask me how I raised such great kids. I have friends whose parenting skills definitely need improvement. They are amazing people despite that. You are right in deciding to just enjoy the skit.

When i was a kid in the 80s i remember that i was not to interrupt my mom when she was on the phone, particularly if it was a call with her mom or her best friend. Luckily i was a pretty good kid who was able to amuse myself without being destructive. Although there was the incident where i once emptied an entire container of baby powder in my playroom because i wanted to make it snow. Or the time i leaped off my bed after watching Peter Pan and was trying to think happy thoughts so i could fly. But really those were the only times my actions interrupted her phone calls.

We recently moved, and a neighbor came by as I was unloading my groceries to introduce herself. Very nice lady! I have 3 kids, oldest is 5. First, my baby woke up in the car, had to go grab him. Then my toddler fell on the gravel, had to pick him up and dust him off. Then my preschooler got attacked by fire ants, had to handle that. It really was an amazing series of unfortunate events, I could barely say 3 sentences to this woman I really wanted to make a good impression on! She was very understanding.

⌚️This is why I wear an AppleWatch. I can censore if text messages need a prompt response or not. And if I need to, I can send a quick voice to text response or tap one of the recommended responses. 😂 I also am old-fashioned enough that I usually make the kids wait if I’m on the phone and their situation is not an emergency.

I love my best friend and her daughter is very sweet but whenever I try to call her and her daughter wait to the moment we’re trying to talk to start screaming in the background 😂😂😂 now with my nephews the entire evening is leave your two-year-old sister long because she’s gonna accidentally scratch you again so five minutes later you hear screaming and nephew shows up with the scratches on his face. Or the good one is stop doing that one of these can I get hurt five minutes later screaming he hit me.
