Enjoyed this video for lots of reasons and subscribed and will share your channel. Drone footage illustrated the complexities of reading surf features. The editing interspersed a variety of activities: casting , fighting a fish, the comradely of fishermen and cooking. I'm 73 and lived through the striper moratorium and realize the striper population is at risk.I want our grandchildren to have an abundance of striped bass. To help these fine creatures I've made changes. I never keep a fish. All my plugs and flies are barbless. Plugs have single barbless hooksyour

I enjoy your videos very much. I'm new to SoCal, you give great hints. Have you ever had any interaction with law enforcement while you're beach cooking. Specifically questioned about legal size after the halibut is filleted and preparing to be cooked. On boats, the fish must remain whole but the law seems vague to me regarding filleting on beach. Thanks.

For all the new guys watching- until you can eyeball a fish as good as these guys, keep it in the water until you know it’s a legal fish. The number of morons I’ve seen keep an illegal striper out of the water for three minutes high-fiving his buddies before he measures it and then throws it back in “alive”, will haunt me for the rest of my short life on this planet. If you like catching stripers.. especially big healthy ones.. keep em wet
