The White Mountain Central Railroad operates their wood-fired Climax type steam engine on their regularly scheduled excursion trains. The White Mountain Central is part of the Clarks Trading post amusement park. Climax 6 was built in 1920 by the Climax Locomotive Works for the Beebe River Lumber Company. Climax type engines are geared steam locomotives designed to negotiate steep grades, sharp turns, and poor track conditions, the Climax types were most often found working mines, and logging lines. The #6 is one of only four currently operational Climax type steam engines in the entire world, and one of only three in the USA. Now, sit back, and relax as we enjoy the sights, and sounds of Steam in the White Mountains!
Don't forget to comment, rate, and subscribe for plenty of great railroading action from all across the eastern USA!
