I grew up 4 doors from the wilsons. They would practice in the afternoons and all us neighbor kids would dance on their lawn. They played our jr. High dances it cost $1:00 to get in. Great memories

My mom lived directly kitty-corner to them as well!! She was your (and their) neighbor from around 1960-65. Do you remember a Scholten family by any chance? Cherrill, Judy or Norm? As she recalls it, she remembers music wafting out of their house every day, and one of them lifting her up to look through a telescope one night. I've been SO HUNGRY for more details for a long time, but my grandmother is gone now and my mom, who was young at the time, only really remembers what I just described - and generally just having known the "teenage guys next door", who, she later was told by her mom, were the Wilsons and co. I would love to hear more! What a great story.

I can't add alot. I remember running my skateboard into Brian's candy blue stingray. He only seemed concerned if I was ok. The name you gave seems familiar however I don't really know. David Marks lived across the street from the boys and was an original band member on first five albums. They played my Jr high dance and it cost a dollar to get in. I'm going to try and send you a link to a great video

What a fantastic song! Takes me to the beach every time, because the sound of the city seems to disappear. Somewhat of a transitional period of time in life. As we get older, from how long the song has been out. Yes, falling in love being in love, every page of your book is not written every day of your life has not been lived. Love is Strange. -- But to get up everyday and find new reasons, new aspirations, new rejuvenation, and Hope of falling in love or being in love again. If I remember correctly, Brian wrote this song for Carl to sing.

This version of The Beach Boys sucked. Drugged out and singing the songs that the “lifestyle” produced. I’ll take the happy Beach Boys with striped shirts and sober outlooks.
