Hey! I know this is a Atheist KZitem channel, but I need to defend the „Neopagans“ a little here for the mention of them. I wrote this in a group that belongs to a collective of German archeologists: >I would like to note that this guy publicly says he is a Christian on all of the “Viking” symbols? Almost every one of these Do “demonstrators” publicly identify more with Evangelical Extremists like the KKK than with Germans and Vikings? Because here these symbols are only used for their “race specifics” (I just don't know how I could better express this in their way of thinking). Many of these people hardly deal with the actual historical background. And from that I thought the following: After what I learned from Rudolf Simek, oaths were of great value in the cultures that were used symbolically here. Americans swear oaths on the American Constitution in schools and in public office. From this it can be deduced, at least in my understanding, that the actual authors of these symbols would have condemned these people as oath breakers rather than fraternizing with them.< Rudolf Simek here being a very great Austrian Mediävist and researcher of germanic Polytheism. And this shaman dude puplicly stated that he is a christian. Sorry for the botched translation btw, I was just putting my comment through google translate since I had to get to work XD

I am by no means a christian conservative. Heck, Im subscribed to your channel. But even I know this video is a really bad take just from the thumbnail. The guy with a molotov cocktail is clearly poisoning the well as nothing caught fire. Who occupied the capitol is a pointless question. The real question is why did something like this become normalized? Well, as BLM protests created Autonomous zones, attacked the Oregon court house (a federal building) for over 100 days, billions in damage from people lighting businesses on fire, and media calling it all mostly peaceful protests. What did you think gun toting conservatives would do? At this point we can't really condemn them, violence has been normalized all the way back in 2016 with Cathy Griffith doing a photo op with a bloody severed Trump head. Instead of calling out wrong behavior there's a duplicitous nature to only applying condemnation asymmetrically. Where's your anti BLM riot video? What makes this riot so special? You don't like how it's people in red hats doing it.

People are under the common misconception that Christians of all denominations came to America to escape "persecution." Fact is that once they got here, they were perfectly willing to start persecuting each other, and that's what led to the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. So despite the fact that America was never a "Christian Nation," that identity has been around as long as America herself has.

Several of them were deists. Many held views that most Christians considered heretical (like antitrinitarianism), even if they considered themselves to be Christian. The vast majority were Christian protestants. During the debate over ratification, some people warned that with nk religious test for office, we would have "Papists" (Cathilics) and "Mohammadins" (Muslims) in office. That fear was beaten back and not only was the Constitution ratified, but the protections against Christian Nationalism were strengthened shortly afterward with the 1st Amendment.

Because the overwhelming majority of politicians are christians themselves or have to pretend they are. It is still a thing that in many parts of the US , you cannot run for office as an atheist, and inmany parts, christian is understood as ethically good and nonchristian as ethically bad. Those in power or in office do not dare to call it what it is because they fear for their own position and are not able to draw a line between what they are doing and what those are doing. Remember, people in congress have justified legislation with bible quotes! They are no better than these. So, how could they stand up against those who essentially think the same and essentially want theocracy as well? The cancer in american society and politics is that faith , especially chrisitan faith, is held up on a pedestal , unquestioned, and held up as something good and desirable over science and reason. This goes back to postwar propaganda at least, maybe even further back. I am german but i grew up with US postwar propaganda as they were the occupants here. This included the dogma that christian equals good and nonchristian equals bad person. This is nonsense but it was burnt into us from young age. It was part of the anticomunism propaganda. Comunism was cast as antichristian. I think there is also an old evolutionary trait to blame as well. We tend to trust people who subscribe to the same set of ethical rules as we do. Religions claime to provide such sets of ethical rules. So we tend to think that those calling themselves but the same religious label as we do, have the same ethical standards as we have. Howevr, this is an illusion and also those sets are not ethical at all. The tragedy is that in western democracies we have not been teaching human rights as this set of ethical rules and values to band us together and to ascribe to above all. I think that if we did so, we would finally get beyond exempting faith from scrutiny. It would be even better if we could teach human rights, science and reason and analytical thinking and have a kind of citizenship test and ceremony to actually ascribe to such values to become a citizen at the age of voting rights in each country and for gaining citizenship in another country. Not an oath to god, that is counterproductive, but a thorough study of and commitment to human rights as ethical basis and science , reason and analytical thinking as epistemological basis. That would cure the societies i think.

Also if you like evidence, here is a forensic analysis of ballot machines which shows systematic election tampering. It shows that 85% of the ballots in this district were allocated for adjudication for being unreadable. An honest ballot counting process would only allocate around 1% to be allocated for adjudication. The adjudication was committed by an unidentified individual, who accessed the system and deleted record of their identity. This is the action which the MSM labeled as "human error" After this report was released democrat election officials refused to answer subpoenas for more machines to be examined, and requested permission to delete data from the 2020 election. Why did they do this if there was nothing to hide? Why did they want to delete data from the 2020 election, when the ballot machines still contained data from the 2016 election?
