I identify as medium brown skin. no sun and I think I'm looking too pale and ashy grey. A lot of sun and my sister asked me why I was so dark. lol! Now I laugh and tell her I've been lying in the sun to makeup for my lack of vitamin D in the winter. I like my skin medium golden. which is about 3 months after my last sunbath. lol! 6 months into no sunbath and I'm wondering if I'm just fading to grey and I use a ton of bronzer and highlighter to bring warmth back to my skin. some women also believe that they are targets for sexual abuse because of their skin or hair so that feeds into it as well. I know plenty of abused women who shave their head because they no longer want to be objectified by their long hair. With all of the things she has gone through in the past, plus her husband's many infidelities (I've seen how some women in the comment section of his videos were worshipping him, ready to throw away all dignity for a piece of him, so while some people assumed he cheated with 3-5 women, I automatically thought at LEAST 15.) and the fact that he decided to record her being in pain for the WORLD to see....she may be at the end of her rope. She has already disclosed how she feels about her own children. If she snaps, her baby girls are the closest ones to her. Perhaps that is Derrick's intention? Having her admitted (or suicidal, arrested etc) is cheaper than divorce. And then he could make a video filled with his crocodile tears and gain even MORE followers.

Even my siblings on occasion made comments about my skin as a child. We were never close to my father’s dark skin side so I was stuck with the colorists. A KZitemr put out a theory that Mrs. Jackson might be on the DL . He came to this conclusion after reading a few of her past posts about obsessing over the body of one of Derrick's mistresses. The only time I entertain theories is if it is a probability & this sounds like a probability. Straight women do obsess over other women but we obsess over the physical i.e hair, clothing style, makeup, how she walks & how she talks. Why? Because we know men are instantly attracted to the physical. We don't obsess over another women's sexual competency, how she contorts her body, how she sounds or what happens when she climax. To add to that theory, I will say that Mrs. Jackson was aroused by what she saw hence why she was "hyper focused" on that woman's body. Most straight women are going to focus on the fact that their man's penis is inside another woman. If this theory were true Mrs Jackson wouldn't be the 1st person to use religion as a tool to deny her sexuality.....just a theory

African Americans are so obsessed with skin tone. I come from a mother who has children of many shades and my sister who is darker skin than me was considered more beautiful than me when we were young. I only caught up to her beauty as we grew. When I was a baby no one care about me but when she was a baby everyone in the town wanted to hold her all the time.I was born in African. One day the neighbor took her and my grandmother couldn't find her, my grandmother got so scared because she thought someone stole her because people use to say my sister is so pretty and they will steal her one of these this day from my mother. I remember being about nine years old and a bunch of people talking about how beautiful my sister's dark skin was and I was so sad that I asked one of the guys "would I have been good looking if I was a boy" he replied "yes". I did not ask because I was jealous I asked him because I was told most of the time I was not good-looking. I and my sister look like twins but what separated our looks was skin tone. The way this generation especially AA is obsessed with skin tone makes me feel sad. Yes, my sister got used to people calling me ugly so she used to call me ugly until age 14. I remember me and her got in a fight because she called me ugly and my aunt asked why and I told her. My auntie replied with "you two look exactly alike. I do not see any difference except one is dark and one is brown skin. So if she called you ugly that means she calling herself ugly" my sister was standing right there. Since that day my sister stopped calling me ugly.

@@lennarthomas 😂😂 then why are men lying?? Seems like they need to be the ones doing the “acceptance,” but they know female humans are similar to some other animals in that the majority want security and stability in an intimate partnership, especially if procreation occurs. It seems more likely that the men who don’t _want_ to be monogamous simply aren’t being truthful (least of all to themselves) and would rather lie to women who do want a long-term, two-person relationship because they suspect the type of woman who thinks like they do is not valuable or desirable (in their mind). There are examples of life-mating in the animal kingdom so I don’t want to hear this nonsense about human men being naturally polygamous. But like I said, *if* that’s the case, then be up front with it and don’t mess with any women who want monogamy. Let’s see how small the pool of choices becomes if these men were honest with their intentions. Which begs the question, if men are naturally polygamous, then why aren’t women🤔 (For the most part, and in general) One side or the other has to be lying🤨

I have 5 siblings and I am the only one that's dark skinned. 2 of my brothers have told me that they wished they were dark skinned but growing up they always teased me for my dark skin. The reality is that people are jealous of beautiful dark skinned women because we put them in a situation where they're wrong and the things that they say about us make them look like jealous liars because that's what they really are. WE have to wake up and realize what's going on and ALWAYS LOVE OURSELVES AND PUT OURSELVES FIRST.

And what's also possibly telling based on Tasha K's receipts how the dude said that HE told one of the side chicks oh she won't sleep with me bs...but I honestly think her jealousy has either manifested sexual attraction to the women or vice versa that her suppression of her true sexual desire after being raped and growing up in church makes her resent other women who seem to have control over their agency. And she hates it because anybody who isn't dsbw including dsbm at times are obsessed with this "gone with the wind" aka The Help down trotten black mammy symbolism that gets shoved down our eyes and throats thru all media platforms. 🤷🏿♀️

A lot of black people don’t consider themselves dark skin even though dark skin isn’t just one shade. I think this is her issue, she thinks she’s “brown” not dark...and her husband desiring a woman who is darker than her is a problem for her. Also I’m glad you mentioned that there are a lot of black people who don’t want a dark daughter that is very sad but very true and it’s not mentioned enough.

i've seen abusive, narcissistic males say they like "damaged" or "crazy" women. idk derrick personally but he might like a woman like that because she does everything she can to please him, tolerates him cheating on her, forgives him for everything, and thinks she can't do better for herself. based on what she wrote in those posts, it seems like she has very low self-esteem and has let derrick get away with everything. her hate towards dsbw might be bc they are considered "less valuable" than other women, and yet her husband has cheated on her with them. her mentality might be "those are the ugliest women, and he likes them more than me, so im uglier and less desirable than even the ugliest women" which is untrue and very colorist. also, is it just me or does it seem like her thoughts on dsbw border on fixation, like sexual or not just envy? she wrote about them almost like she herself is sexually attracted to them, and is maybe in denial about it and might be bisexual. no shade (im bisexual) if she is, but idk if straight women are that fascinated by other women in sexual situations or focus on their bodies, esp naked, THAT much. a lot of religious people are gay or bi but suppress themselves due to their faith, and it comes out in situations like this one.

I took her comments as her an admission of jealousy and constant comparison of herself with DSBW. And her daughter having that phenotype, reminding her of the mistresses, to her not helping the situation. A lot women won't admit it, but they toxically think this way too and that resentment get geared towards the daughter. I believe in God too, but she does need real help. Not just use her religion as a crutch. We all go through storms but God wants us to learn, and be happy, healthy and respected. Not constantly suffer. With her husband using her to rebuild his tarnished image & the side chicks wanting fame & attention, while taunting her about "having her man", I honestly feel bad for her. This is a lot.
