@James Brown I agree about Sue, she's one tough lady. As for the Hailstones, we have to consider that's a totally different way of life than what we've ever known. Their tribe has been foraging and getting meat and fur for many thousands of years. It's their way of life, we have grocery stores, they don't have money available to them like we do so they must hunt and gather to live. Agnes Hailstone is a fascinating lady, she has skills with the furs that she could make a fortune in the lower 48 with. I love their traditions, how they teach their children and carry on through each generation. The young people take care of, and respect, their elders. The family unit is what's so important to them. Wish we had more of that here. The thing about the tribes is, they don't waste anything of what they hunt. They use everything the animals have which is the most respectful way to do that. Under their tribes system they never over harvest any animal and that actually sustains each individual species. Only white people kill species to extinction. We could learn a lot from the Eskimo and American Indian tribes. 💗

Eddie Clark maybe it’s their way of hunting he doesn’t agree with? I’m native and I didn’t like them hunting caribou from their boat while the caribou were crossing the river? Also when hunting on land please know how to shoot a gun, instead of just shooting hoping you hit it somewhere sml 🤦🏻♀️. Before anyone says I buy my meat from a store, yes but I also used to hunt. I made sure I got a good kill shot, not just blindly shooting wherever to get them down, then finish them off. I don’t agree with letting any animal suffer, their hunting is unethical to me🤬😑🙋🏻♀️

Glenn and Erik were my all time favorites. What I hate about the show is how they axe someone with no notice. I remember when Glenn came on they had no introduction he just randomly showed up mid season. I kept thinking where did this guy come from and who is he? Then when Erik was canned they never gave him a goodbye he just disappeared out of the blue during the season. Just like when Andy and Kate divorced I had no idea I just noticed Kate was no longer on the show just Andy doing everything alone. The show is great but production team has a bad habit of introducing us to new people and saying goodbye to others on the show.

Decides to live in northern Alaska for the hell of it. Is a pilot. Gets a reality tv show because of it, Does a shit ton of episodes with them. Eventually gets dropped because he’s surviving to well and the vision of the producers doesn’t match with his reality of flourishing out there. Legend. Madlad.

Really disappointed to hear of Glenn being squeezed off the show. Total surprise-he seem genuine, authentic, interesting and just an all round good guy. Leaves me feeling a good bit less admiring of a show I've enjoyed for several years now. Office politics-people's petulant, little egos can be an amazing let down. Life Below Zero shot themselves in the foot with their own behavior in this matter. Go Glenn! Go enjoy much more success as you adventure through life, blazing your own trail! Was delighted to "meet" your family in the moose hunt show. Support each other and love your family-you'll make it just fine without the show...as I'm sure you already know quite well. I wish you & yours all the best. Thank you for the years of sharing your stories with us all...

People in other comments are either hating on, or supporting Sue. She isn't a true survivalist in any sense of the word. Without her supplies being flown in she doesn't exist. She's a business minded person and has a captive audience because she's her only link to those pilots to get out there. Nothing bad about that. but I do get the sense she is always doing things and failing because that's what the producers want her to do. She plays the scripted or setup part really well. Glen on the other hand, is way too independent for that show and I was amazed he lasted that long. I wonder how much they get paid. Also, Glen is unlikeable in a big way because he IS arrogant and talks as though he is above everyone. But he's earned that right. Just watch what he learned about the wolves, he's not afraid of them anymore, they are afraid of him. That's pretty unreal. I'd watch a show on him alone. Personally I can't stand the guy, but that's not what I watch the show for. his endeavors are very interesting to me, and his intelligence is really a big draw for me. the way he thinks is just amazing. I stopped watching the show a few years ago because they put so much garbage on with Sue and I knew it was intentional, and fake. it really turned me off. and I was bummed too because without fast forwarding through her segments the show sucked for me. I stopped watching real time and would record the season to my DVR and just binge watch so I could FF through her, but even that got too tedious and it was easier to just stop watching.

@Iconoclast He WAS the worst of the bunch. It was basically watching a guy camping every episode... He tried to kill a squirrel with a stick and rock trap... It was pretty sad. Not saying that this isn't something you might have to do, just that it was pretty bad from a viewer point of view. His show was the worst of all of them for sure. Plus, he tried to go up against Man vs. Wild... At the time, it was a bad move for his show.

No scripts, not even for Glen. We talk to the producers about what we think we might be doing and they trust us. At least they keep comming back....LOL! Insted of scripts, we do "OTF's" "on the fly" type interviews where we talk to the camera and explain ourselfs a couple times a day during filming, to explain what and how were doing, so the editors and the audience gets the picture correctly. They broke standards by actually trusting us and letting the cameras follow along, with us doing things as we know how best to do thems sometimes as we thought we might do, often as it happens. I think thats alot more realism and it shows. Nope, no scripts, no telling us this or that, just questions from the producer about what happens edited to 20 minutes for each of our segments.

I appreciate that he tried teaching his audience, and telling a more diverse story. Giving people real knowledge. It really does make it interesting. There were times through the show where it did start getting monotonous and boring because it was the same thing "chopping trees" and "Hunting for food." Although those things are important to learn...that was all the content they provided. I love Glenn's insight.
