Glad you did this one! I know it's longer than what you would normally do, but I enjoyed getting your thoughts in the moment.

I’m digging your content I’m thinking on jumping in the same wagon as you. R5 and C70. But I don’t own any EF nor RF lenses. Would you recommend to go straight to RF or maybe do the adapter + EF lens?

If you are buying new or used lenses, get RF. If you already have EF lenses though just keep them and keep using them. That’s what I am doing currently.

Yes, you can charge the two batteries in the BG-R10 through the camera now that the battery grip no longer has its own USB-C port. It also does not come with a USB-C charger like the EOS R version did so if you want to charger the batteries in the grip you have to buy one. I bought the Anker USB-C charger through Amazon.

I really like your blackout background. Would appreciate learning how to do something similar. Looks fantastic!

Nice one Caleb, wise move. Going from the EosR to the R5 is a pretty big step up. I'm loving mine. Best of luck!

It kind of seems like the typical Canon story where a camera starts getting more appreciation after the initial release hype dies down. I’m still loving the R, but I think I would definitely love to venture into the R5 world one day. Great intro/unboxing!

Does the R5 and C70 feature classic Canon colour science or is it different from the C100ii and C200?

Great camera. I am very happy with mine. 28-70 is a bit heavy but produces one of the best images I have ever seen.

Bro, I absolutely agree with you.....I don't like to let the whole world know what camera body I am carrying. I actually use a rifle sling which I have been using for almost 10 years now. I also don't carry my gear in all these fancy camera bags that you find at B&H. I don't like to broadcast that I have expensive gears in my backpack. I have a molly pack padded with polyethelyne pads on the inside.

Why didn't you get Canon adapter with the ND Filter ?
@CalebWojcik
3 жыл бұрын
I already have a variable ND filter I could use and I’d rather have a control ring. I mainly just use ND’s for video and my C70’s have that built in already.

Yeah, so far it seems to be the mirrorless upgrade to the 5D Mark III I wanted the R to be.
