Sir, what is the difference between orbital angular momentum and azimuthal quantum number (NCERT says both are the same thing)? But the formula for the orbital angular momentum is √l(l+1) h/2π..... Also, According to Bohr's model the electron moves in a circular orbit. So, it is quite clear that it will have some orbit angular momentum, But, what exactly is the orbital or spin angular momentum? is it related to the revolution of the electron, or something else?

Bro, Earth has a spin agnular momentum due to its rotation around its axis, this is equal to "(Moment of inertia of the earth around its axis) × (Earth's angular velocity about that axis)". Earth also has a Orbital angular momentum due to its motion around the sun, the value of this Angular momentum is subject to the chosen origin. Hence the total Angular momentum of earth is the sum of these two.(WE HAVE TWO TYPES OF ANGULAR MOMENTA BECAUSE EARTH IS AN EXTENDED BODY AND NOT A PARTICLE IF IT WERE A PARTICLE, WOULD WOULD only have ORBITAL ANGULAR MOMENTUM).Similarly An electron also has 2 types of Angular Momenta.

Hello sir, this is pradyumn porwal currently studying in NIT Warangal .I have one doubt since i was preparing for my jee exam.doubt is from your book's question only. Question is: A table with smooth horizontal surface is turning at an angular speed o about its axis. A groove is made on the surface along a radius and a particle is gently placed inside the groove at a distance a from the centre. Find the speed of the particle as its distance from the centre becomes L. Sir in this question if we try to observe in ground frame ,then which force is responsible for taking particle outside.sir I am stuck in this problem from last 4 years. I remember when I used to ask my faculty they used to say do it by Taking the reference of table .sir please help me in this question.
@pankajdeeps
3 жыл бұрын
Normal reaction by the groove has 2 components. One is vertically upwards (which balances mg) and the other is along the surface of the table (perpendicular to the line of groove). And this very component is responsible for the ball to move away from the centre. U just draw the diagram for 2 consecutive instants. For the first instant , normal provides velocity perpendicular to the line of groove. At 2nd instant, line of groove turns by an angle, and intial velocity attained by the ball is now at some angle with the line of groove. Now the normal has no control over the component of velocity along the line of groove, due to which ball moves outwards.

Sir, I have a question.. Why electric field lines goes from positive to negative???? 🤔🤔
@ultimateracer6264

It's just an hypothesis 😁
@manoharsinghshekhawat9272

It's just a convention, to aid us in visualisation. Look at it this way: We have defined electric field due to positive and negative charges and can show them in diagrams, but we take the test charge to be positive( the unit charge) so it would feel a repulsion by positive charge so electric field is away from it to show that a unit positive charge would feel the force this way and for negative it is the other way in similar manner. If we had choosen the unit test charge to be negative then field line would go from negative to positive instead... and if you are asking why the field lines go from positive to negative then you can think of it as the attraction and repulsion of a positive charge in between..

Sir A question How to calculate The Schwarzschild radius of any object Plsssssssss
@ayushranjan6116
3 жыл бұрын
Its easy from F=G (M1 M2)/R^2 ......SO V=ROOT(2GM/R)....M IS MASS OF OBJECT FOR WHICH SCWHARZSCHILD RADIUS IS TO BE CALC........PUT V=C(SPEED OF LIGHT)....THEN R IS THE REQUIRED RADIUS

Sir,when we rub plastic scale to our hair then how do understand that the scale is charged??? And Which charge (+ve or -ve) has the scale gained?????
@mrityunjaykumarsingh9204

Because of free electrons and electrons have negative charge.

How to know whether the scale is positively charged or negatively charged after rubbing? To know this We use electroscope .
@satyampanchal-1016
3 жыл бұрын
matter of naming it positive or negative is purely arbitrary, the main thing is whether it is charged or not, that you can check using some paper peices, plastic scale will attract small peices of paper, or you can use an electroscope as some other fellow also commented
@kwondo_22_mars

Just its charged, we don't want it is positive charged or negatively charged.
@skmohiuddin3224

To know whether the scale is sufficiently charged or not just bring some very small pieces of paper near it . If the pieces are attracted to the scale that means the scale is sufficiently charged. To know what kind of charge is on the scale we can use electroscope but for this we must have known source of +ve or -ve charge otherwise we couldn't understand what type of charge is on scale. There is an other way , if you know the material properties of the objects you rub with each other ,you will know the type of charge. From the atoms on surface of the objects of two type, in which electrons are comparatively loosely bound to atom that object will loose electrons and gets positively charged the other gets negatively charged.

Sir I am Aditya and I have a question that how can be say that a ball is moving in Space where there is no start and planet as there nothing to compare? Sir plzzz tell the answer, I searched it every where even on Google but didn't get the satisfying answer.....🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
@apl-alampurpremierleague9539

Shailesh Kumar Singh, exactly, you cannot say whether a ball in space is moving or not, unless you compare it with some other object. Motion is not absolute but rather relative. That means one object can be said to be in motion w.r.t one frame of reference and simultaneously be at rest w.r.t another frame of reference. Nothing in this whole universe is in absolute motion or rest. It is in motion or at rest only relative to another object.
