I’m sure most of you are no stranger to avoiding a movie because it seemed too long or too slow, but I’ve found that when I finally sit down to watch these films, they often turn out to be something very special. I had a lot of fun sharing why and dissecting the technique behind slow cinema :)
Huge shout-out to the amazing work of the late David Bordwell. It was a pleasure to discover his blog, which is still maintained and operated by his frequent co-author Kristen Thompson. If you enjoyed his writing featured throughout this video, I highly recommend checking out his site.
