I'll be working on upgrading my shop cabinets pretty soon, pretty sure I'll end up picking up one of these little guys. Thanks for sharing Phillip

sounds good, if you plan on doing a lot of cabinets I would recommend getting two and daisy chain them. Makes the process so much faster.

I think it is the perfect solution if you need to add shelf pin holes to already assembled cabinets. The small size makes it perfect for that scenario. I however prefer a different jig that I can use my router to put cleaner holes before assembling the cabinets.

I'm a newbie at woodworking but should I use the jig after I painted my piece or before??
@HowYouCanMakeIt

you can do either. I personally like doing it before painting because some times you need to sand a little around your pocket hole.

Hey buddy, just found your channel and subbed. I'm getting ready to put a few shelves up in my daughter's closet. How thin of material can shelve pins be used in? I was thinking of using some 1 x 12s so the boards will really only be 3/4s of an inch thick (as if you dont know, lol) and I'm concerned that the holes for the pins won't be deep enough to support the weight of a shelf, any thoughts??

I use shelf pins with 1x all the time. Be sure to read the shelf pin information some are made to hold more weight than others

I see you got a bit of tearout on them - Dave Stanton has an ooold video about them which has a great tip for drilling - start your drill at full speed but low pressure, and then when it breaks the surface, send it home quickly
