For those of us who have met God, we know that God is universally and unconditionally loving. Richard Rohr said something to the effect that those who most earnestly seek God, the mystics, always find a lover. They never encounter a wrathful, vengeful, judgemental God. People who believe God could have negative characteristics like that have actually made God in their own image. They've projected their own self onto God, or have committed idolatry.

If salvation is universal, why did Jesus say: "“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." ? It seems to me that saying everyone is saved is actually the easier path. It only means our enemies escape justice, but we and all our loved ones are safe - only the most hateful of people would have a problem with that. And it means we don't have to repent, we can keep indulging in the worst of our vices without ever facing justice.

That is an excellent point, and a very valid concern. First of all, though, I need to point out that I did a really bad job in the video when talking about the hypothetical situations in that I didn't stress that they are dealing with the question of God's sovereignty. That is, they were presented because there are those who maintain that our human minds can't possibly understand God's plan, and consequently we need to let God's plan unfold without comment. [And the point was supposed to be that the first hypothetical has legions of defenders, while the second one certainly does not.] So to answer your question in a very succinct way: I think that the universalist position is that Hell is a real state of existence (the next video concerns this), it just isn't an eternal state of existence. In other words, even if a person were to end up in the deepest, darkest of Hells, the Eternal God would still be there, reaching out and offering the possibility of Life with God. Lastly I would point out something that probably sounds crazy to most people, and that has to do with the narrow gate (nothing to do with universalism). We shouldn't overlook the actual gains in the here and now of attempting to enter this gate and walk its path. When we commit to leading lives not governed by hatefulness, greed, lust, and power, we start to experience true happiness, joy, and peace. This is something that our enemies have no taste of, and a good reason why they need to be prayed for. Blessings to you.

God will not override your freewill decision to choose Him cus if he did He would be negating your freewill so therefore then at that point you'd be forced and controlled and God wants you to choose willingly on your own so if you choose not be with him then your simply left at the mercy of the universe and those who reign outside of His will so he's not putting you anywhere it's just that there is no other place to go to and everything outside of that place and outside of His will becomes a form of hell . Good evening.

This is such a good point about free will, and how to understand Hell. I think the Universalist response is another question: will God, in God's infinite Love ever give up trying to persuade someone to choose Him? Is it possible that in future, post-mortem states of existence God will still reach out to souls who have not chosen Him? (This anticipates some future videos.) Blessings to you.

@@esotericbabble877 thank you and may Christ's grace be with you always . i think God loves enough to let us choose but if we change our minded we just need top call upon Him again. i think Paul says it best Romans 8:38-39 King James Version 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
