Baruch atah Adonai! What a beautiful reminder of why we battle w/ evil; It's because of love. L O V E! Our father wants us to choose Him. Would I want a friend that I can program and cause to do whatever I want or would I want a friend who does what they do for me because they love me and it's their desire to express love to me? Of course I want them to love me of their own choice! So, why wouldn't God want us to love Him with the same choice? I'm someone who can love others very easily but I admit, a person must genuinely want to love me because I'm just not that easy to love. God is easy to love. It's not the evil done by man that bothers me most. I expect evil to be done by man. But it is the stuff that God does that bothers me the most: the earthquakes, the forest fires, the tsunamis, all the natural disasters, all the "acts of God", as they say. A tree falls on your house and kills you. You get struck by lightning. Why would a good God allow that? That has nothing to do with free will. That is the number one challenge to my faith. I don't have a reasonable answer for that.

It's also a result from being in a fallen world. Before there was perfection, balance, now there is death and suffering. Now we are meant to die, some sooner than others. Some people may die in a hurricane, others in a war, others of sickness, others of old age. It's our job to be ready for when it happens. Also, you have to remember death is the retribution for our sins and our actions are not good in God's eyes. How one person dies versus another to God may not make a difference for he is concerned about their soul. When a natural disaster happens anywhere, we think "Oh those poor people", but are they really poor in God's eyes? We just simply don't know. But remember he warned us these things would happen. Especially in the end times, really bad things will occur and we have to be strong, mentally and emotionally. If you cannot reconcile how a lighting can kill one person and you struggle with that, how are you going to feel when an earthquake wipes 10,000? What will happen to your faith? What will happen when they say "You don't want to take the mark? Step over to the guillotine." Your faith will be tested and you need to be ready and strong. God warned us. We must be filled with the Holy Spirit, otherwise we cannot endure.

@@yanise1625 I know what you mean, but there is still no reasonable answer. To basically say, "Keep faith. Somebody might surprise me, or just pray for me. I would say that the faith that cannot handle questioning is a very weak faith. Questioning may temporarily weaken my faith, but ultimately it will strengthen it, assuming I arrive at some conclusion. For now, I do question. I must question. I am troubled in my heart. Brian Moore I know what you mean. Really. For years, I thought “Well, either I’m doing good enough, or else I don’t belong to God.” I had read in the Bible that God chastens the ones that He loves, and scourges every son that He receives - and I felt neither chastened, nor scourged. So, I was not sure about my place in His family. Either I had given Him no real reason to chasten me, or else I simply was not His child. Then He provided for me a visitation of His power, a little over 2 years ago. Though I have never in my life been ‘perfect’, like Job was, I can empathize with his plight. Yes - it was, and still is, that bad. I was, and still am, crushed completely. The sorrow and anguish that I live with now, everyday - even every moment, really - I know will never go away. Not in this life. I honestly cannot see how my tears might ever be ‘wiped away’ - even in His Kingdom to come. I see things differently, now. And on occasion, I post comments on YT - especially when I read one like yours. I know and believe that there are many, many others in this world, who can identify with suffering. Some can, much much more than others. To put it bluntly - this place sucks, truly. I guess I’ve always known that to be true, but now things are different than they were before. He made me to sit up, and take notice. I started writing short essays about some things in the Bible that I had long thought were being misrepresented and/or misunderstood. I have always been drawn to His Word, since I was very young, and I have enjoyed listening to many preachers preach, and teachers teach about many different things in it - and by ‘it’, I am specifically referring to the 400+ year old KJV, with words of Christ in red. I feel compelled to add that, here. I’m getting kinda long in this response, so I’ll get to the point, with this verse: I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. -Isaiah 45:7 I could have just posted that one verse, I suppose, but I chose to say more. That was my decision. And I’m also going to copy and paste this writing that I wrote, for whatever it might be worth: ONE THING For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. -1 Corinthians 2:2 In this one sentence, Paul shows the whole truth of the simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus. In it, there is nothing about Christ’s returning with His reward for the faithful. He makes no mention here of His place at the right hand of the Father. Presented without commandment, and without a Day of judgment, there’s not even a resurrection of the dead in his statement. There is just Christ - and Him crucified. Period. From Genesis to Revelation, every word begins and ends exactly here. This is the root and the offspring of David, and the stone that the builders disallowed. It is faith, alone. The Gospel, according to (the man,) Jesus: And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father. -Matthew 20:23 The loving child is not offended by the truth of his father’s word - He is offended by the lies of his father’s enemies.

@@brianmoore581 Please don't misunderstand my response with saying you should not question. To me that's oppressive. You should totally be allowed to question. I have been in very low points myself, very very dark times and I have also questioned. But no answer ever pleased me. Only by listening to many sermons and letting go I gathered the strength to ONLY keep going, still not understanding anything of what was going on. Althought things are better now, I still have no explanation, but I know that one day I will understand. So I just wait. I've definitely grown much wiser spiritually. But it takes time. Try taking it up to God, express how you feel, try reading the book of Job and when you pray kneel. Kneeling truly was miraculous for me. Maybe he is processing you for something greater. Remember he is like the potter, he puts us through the fire, breaks us and makes us again to give us the shape he wants and perfect us. Sometimes the more righteous ones are the most tested because he wants to extract the best out of us. I will pray for you tonight. God bless.

That doesn’t seem like a sufficient answer. God has free will. No one has more free will than God, God has the most freedom to choose, yet God cannot sin. I’m not sure how free will means we must be able to sin, in other words, that evil must be able to exist I know I for one do not have an answer to that question and have not heard a sufficient answer. This is an attempt to answer your question. I don't know if you'll be satisfied but I tried. You have to go back to the beginning. It is indeed a consecuence of our free will. Not necesarily the existence of evil, but the fact that evil entered in our world. Adam and Eve had free will to obey God or disobey. At that point evil had not entered in the picture yet because they had not eaten from the tree. Nevertheless, it already existed. But once they ate (by their own free will), they became knowledgeable about good and evil and evil entered the world. So initially, they had free will and as a consecuence of choosing to disobey is that we have what we have today. If their free will would have led them to not eat the fruit, the tree would still be standing and we would all be living in the Garden of Eden. So you could say the world we have is a direct consecuence of disobeying God.

START HERE Without faith, it is impossible to please God. As He quickens His Spirit within His people, we become aware of who we are - in Him. He takes the blinders off of our eyes, and shows us the truth: All that we really are is made known to us, and that new creature is made manifest, spiritually. The old creature does not vanish, but dies a slow and painful death - as it is no pleasant thing, to deny our own selves in the flesh: For the natural man has taken up residence in our very souls, and he will not go quietly. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; -2 Thessalonians 2:3 Sandcastles of faith will not stand against the swelling tide of iniquity, divinely set to wax even greater upon the earth. Lawlessness is here, now, but much greater is also coming at any moment - and like nothing that any one of us has ever seen, or even heard of before. The simple ones, and the unlearned, and the weak, and even those little ones, may not be spared God’s test of faith. The letter of the Law has never been enough - and this is by design. Neither has it ever been enough, that His people must only know the correct way to properly say His Name - and all of the churches of ‘Rainbows and Butterflies’ will be utterly washed away completely; carried out by the very first wave of that blood-dimmed tide, and drowned in the depths of indignation: It will be like a ‘falling away’ - and the perfect opportunity for Satan to devour whomsoever he will. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. -Revelation 3:10 The world is undone, and without remedy - or hope. The people are deceived, and they consume lies. They have given themselves over to their own philosophies. They have reasoned within themselves that which is right, and so they have closed their minds to a right understanding of that which is written. To them, Holy Scripture is like divine poetry, or like a sacred catalogue of incantations and procedures - and they must only be ever so careful with their spellings. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. -James 2:19 Love is not the same thing as fear. The Creator of the universe, God Almighty, is more than worthy of both - love AND fear. While He has given the commandment for His people to love Him, we are simply EXPECTED to fear Him. Many people get it backwards, but it does not work the other way around - it’s not the same thing: If we are EXPECTED to love Him, then there is no need for this commandment. On the other hand, there is no reason for any commandment to fear Him, because we already have more than enough of a reason - simply by KNOWING Him. Use the brain that He gave you, and choose the fear of the LORD. Believe the truth. Without fear, our love for God is in vain. Personal, trembling, awful fear. Judgment Day is coming soon to every soul on this earth, and now is the time to find that solid Rock - and cling to it. If we do not fear God, PERSONALLY, then we do not know Him. Begin with this.

The ultimate question is about Overarching Supremacy of Justice. Morality (good and evil) or even how it is applied is no longer relevant if there is no Overarching Supremacy of Justice. No one can win or lose with this mindset. If I say God allows evil, people will condemn God. Yet if I say God allows good, people would not praise Him for it.
