My wife did this to me also...., she got herself into a 2015 Jeep Cherokee with $500/month payments and $300/month insurance payments. Her dad actually co-signed on the loan for her. It's my fault for marrying a complete child, I take full responsibility, but I was laughing and crying at the same time when the vehicle got repossessed less than a year later, because I refused to help with the payments. I was an injured party, but it was the ultimate justice to see her reaction when her car was getting towed. The moment when a 25 year old baby gets their toy taken away: Hilarious.

My ex-wife did the same thing to me. She would spend her money, plus mine on a new pair of shoes every month, clothes, going out with friends and buying drinks. She would make me out to be the bad guy when I would call her out on it. I finally put the brakes on the situation and told her we would start splitting the bills evenly and I got a separate checking account so she couldn't spend my money. She then left me for a married guy that makes more money. At first I was devastated. After 2 years of being divorced I realize that it was the best thing for me. Now she is his problem and I have more money in my pocket and I am paying the same amount bills now on my own that she and I were supposed to be splitting when I was married.

I’m studying social work and will have less than $10,000 in debt because I’m actively pursuing grants and scholarships. Social workers in general are underpaid for the work they do, but I knew that - this is what I feel driven to do. This woman went about it all the wrong way. Be smart - go to community college for first two years, transfer to a four-year and GET SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS, then work for awhile. Gain experience, save up money for your graduate degree and research adult scholarships, OR actively seek out a company that will pay for you to further your education. People are just too quick to sign on the dotted line for easy loan money. I don’t think this woman ever intended to repay her student loans; she even told her husband they’ll never pay it off.

When you have a wife that WILL NOT stop this behavior, split the accounts and split the bills. Whatever she has left from her check she can waste. You keep your money and do good stuff with it. If she is running out of money, that's her problem. She's the one behaving badly and you shouldn't put up with it. That or it's time to leave...

Clearly, what passes for marriage these days is ? Women act like " you can't tell me ", and men act like they have no right to ask. Marriage- get counseling.
@mrfred1000
4 жыл бұрын
Counseling lol we've also been brainwashed that's always the solution. I would suggest people try it out but that's not the answer. The answer is proper role placement. When he said "we need to sell the car" it should have been, "So we're selling this car, we will look at all the options and alternatives" and her answer should have been, yes husband. They do have some issues to work out, but the reason marriages don't work is because both husband and wife are not filling their roles. Man runs the house, the woman doesn't, therefor even if she works, he decides things. Women that don't want to be submissive need to stay single or change their thinking. And the funny thing is, with the right husband, they wouldn't act like this. They say stuff like "I wouldn't do that he'd kill me" not literally but saying they don't do certain things because they fear the husbands backlash, which they should. Today, there's no respect in the marriages, it's we both do what we want and if the relationship works it works, *Thumbs up* and people aren't particular about who they marry on the 3 big issues. Money, religion, kids. Most important 3. You will definitely want to divorce over those 3 or not even get married because of those 3. 1-How money is spend and who has authority over it 2-How kids are raised and who has authority over the house 3-What faith binds the home and decisions based on it. What church, beliefs, morality etc. It's same page or no marriage. They at least have to be open to the 3 and I mean truly open not just saying they are.

Most times the same story. Dave suggesting he picks up the woman’s slack “Because they’re married”. So if he had 31k in savings should he pay off her new car. And then she gets more cards or a flasher car again and gets another 20k in debt...if the relationship ends he lost all his money buy bailing her out. It takes so long to build up them amounts when in low paid or average jobs. The man most times has to work his self into the ground and retire late because of the woman’s spending. (Not all women by the way but it appears predominant a woman’s issue with spending all the time to be happy).

I think people forget that Dave is old school and believes that the husband is the head of his household. When callers like this young man call in Dave immediately reminds them that they need to take back the reign. People have signed up for marriage but forget what those vows meant. Start learning these financial quirks about your partner early on. Talk about it and get on the same path or you will be in the feces house much sooner than later.
