glad you made it up. we've got a small 2305 john deer and it usually does pretty good getting up the hills with some weight on it.

I was pretty surprised because i tried to get up 2 years ago and kept spinning the tires....but I did regrade the trails this year with the dozer...so I think that helped.

Great example of common sense not using your roll over protection bar while going up hills...

Adding the winch was smart. If not you'd get stuck, with it you won't need it. Cheap insurance

Now that looked quite easy now...ye of so little faith on the "Little Big Tractor"...!!!!! Reminds me of the kids story of the Little Engine who Couldn't 🙂. So happy to see how your food plot turned out after tilling the ground. Just wondering why you didn't expand the plot just a little bigger since you had the tiller right there. Is it because the deer would be to far away from your blind to shoot if the plot was bigger? I have never hunted over a food plot in all my hunting years. Always hunted thick timber and swamps looking for the big fellas. Never did find them though 😞 . Glad you are back to posting and hope you have a great season with all of us along for the ride. Will your daughters be hunting with you or do they have more important thing to do rather then spending time with dear old dad...lol+ See you on the next video.

Yeah, I should have had a little more faith in the tractor 🤣 but in all honesty I regraded the trails when I had the dozer and I think that helped...because I tried it once before that and couldn't get up the first hill. I will be extending the food plot in the spring....but since it needed mowed and sprayed I didn't want to take the tiller in the tall grass because it would get all twisted up in the tiller and can be a real pain getting it out. My oldest daughter will be bow hunting with me some as well as gun hunting. My youngest will be gun hunting during youth season. They both have other sports activities they are obligated to do...but we will fit in some hunting between all the other activities.

Do you know that the angle of the slope is? I have a similar situation. Consider backing up the hills.

@Designhunter9125 not sure the angle but I'd guess 40-45 degrees. I have done that...seems a little safer as well because if I start to slide down I can drop the bucket

I would have used a box cutter or DR tow behind brush deck for trails

Curious, the wood from the trees you cleared away, couldn't it be used for camp fires next year or no fires allowed?

Yeah, it could be cut up for fire wood.

Do you know the degree slope of the steepest part? What model is your tractor? I purchased an old mining property in the mountains. The way in is a road that has not been used in over 80 years. About an average 15 degree slope down, 450 foot elevation change in total. I'd like to get my tractor back out too when I'm done.

I'm not sure the degree of slope but I'd guess way more than 15 degrees...this is a Kubota Bx25.

Looks like 20 degrees, tractor can do over 25 degrees
