At the IAPP Data Protection Intensive in London this spring, best-selling author Michael Finkel explored the nature of privacy and identity. As an investigative reporter, Finkel was used to traveling the world and being something of a chameleon. Which worked great until a multiple murderer assumed his identity and started being him, playing the role of investigative reporter while on the run from the authorities. Here, Finkel talks about the experience of having to prove that he is himself to someone who has deigned to be him.
