If- by Rudyard Kipley My favorite poem of all time. Describes from a father to his son what a man should be. Unfortunately, like all great works of art, it is incomplete. It forgets to mention that to be a man, one must become an initiate by becoming a busboy, then barback, then finally bartend through all phases of life or until the service well becomes a beast well tamed, whichever comes first. That joke is a stretch. But the poem is a great one. Give it a read.

@KevinKos
3 жыл бұрын
@@Mik3Easter Haha, I feel the struggle. I am glad that you like it! You can use the same procedure that with the dried ones, but skip the reconstitute part. And if you want, you can use brandy instead of vodka, to add another note layer of liqueur, since you will use fresh ones. But make sure, to use only really ripe figs, because they will add more taste.

Greatest WRITER in the United States? Of all time? Um, maybe Emerson? Longfellow, for my money, is our best poet. Contemporary short-story writers and novelists include Ted Chiang and Lauren Groff. I think they're some of our best today. Best living poet? I would say Craig Arnold, but he is nearly fifteen years dead. Can we claim the songwriter Richard Thompson? He's lived here forty years.
