It may seem highly unlikely, if not outright impossible, but I'm here to show how two pieces can in fact win against five in checkers. This legendary finishing position is from a game between James Moir and James Ferrie. Ferrie navigated the ending with tremendous skill, and then completed an absolutely phenomenal smother win that went down as one of the greatest in all of checkers lore.
I also analyze a game sent by viewer Rob Taylor on the Second Double Corner opening. There are a number of instructional points in the game, so I appreciate you sharing it with us!
I highly recommend checking out Bob Newell's Checker Maven. There is a wealth of insightful and fun content on his pages -- thanks for everything you do for the game of checkers, Bob!
