I liked it! Great screenplay directional storytelling! Do continue to make both, as each has a charm and flow that are entertaining and inspirational (for amateur photographers like me). Can I request that you do a follow up video to this one with the usual conversational explanations and story of that day, along with your processing the film and editing to get your final pictures. Tell us all about this film and it’s characteristics so we may know what to expect when using it, while encouraging us to test out our own ideas and not feel like there is only one way to shoot it. How do you mitigate water damage to old gear as you use them in extreme weather? Do other photographers use umbrellas or covers of some kind? Any products out there you know of? Thanks again for a wonderful video!

@@michaeldimmitt2188 thank you so much for your kind words. Yes, I am planning another video about Washi F film. I may incorporate the scanning and reversal of the negatives- that’s a really good idea! Thanks again for watching… oh, the snow and weather… that camera is 💯 manual and it handles snow like a champ. All I did after the shoot was set it on the dining room table and let it dry.

@@VintageInsightPhotography I have shot a couple rolls through my Mamiyaflex (eBay in Los Angeles about 15 years ago) but haven’t had them developed. From inspecting it recently I know the film door “light seals” look shot. Don’t know if there are light leaks yet. I think the only weather seals it has are the years of dust and dirt! When I shoot in bad weather I am always unprepared. I never remember to bring Lens cleaning tissue so it is t-shirt & napkins from my backpack!

@@VintageInsightPhotography good to know that it handles snow well. It usually snows at least once a year here in NC where I live. I'll be sure to take mine out next year if it does snow.

This is more like it - best video you have done so far (I say so far as I'm sure it won't be the last). Music choice works so well. I loved the photo of Edison with the bridge in soft focus behind.

Great video Jim, really loved this style of vlog. A great bit of filmmaking. Great to see the snow falling in Michigan finally and the ice flowing. Love that camera and the images you get from it. The images of the pinecones at 2:10 and the lighthouse at 3:33 were outstanding. Really enjoyed this, would love to see more of this style of vlog occasionally.

Wow, I'm paused on this right now after watching that shot of you walking towards the rivers edge under the bridge at 3:50 about three or four times. Small details but that is an absolutely epic shot, don't know where you placed the camera to get it but that was brilliant....ah after watching a bit further I see that you have your drone back in action, it didn't look like a drone shot at all!.. Brilliant shot (still) of the Edison statue too. Great short film. Very inspirational to me, really well put together.
