Hi Keith, I'm a bit of a Newbie to all this, But I recently had a 6kwp solar array fitted alongside a Sunsynk 5kw Inverter and a stack of three Pylontech US5000 batteries. We are a high use household having a Hot Tub, Pond Pumps, Power Shower Pumps etc. on the go. I also have an EV and am on the Intelligent Octopus Tariff. Octopus have just moved me over to their IO Flux tariff paying 15p / kwh for export, though I don't expect to have much power spare to export through the winter. I need to set up the inverter to leverage the cheap rate for charging overnight between 23:30 and 5:30 -but am not exactly sure how to set this up on the inverter. Can you recommend the best setting from your point of view and point me to relevant videos / manual to guide me on doing this please?

Hello, do the batteries not need to be wired up to a single busbar with equal length cables before wiring them to the inverter to prevent unbalanced charge/discharge or is this taken care of by the BMS? Edit: It looks like you two cables going out of each battery, one for each inverter. How do you suggest this is done using one inverter? Should it be the same but with the positive from the master battery and the negative from the slave? Edit 2: Ah, finally found the answer in the manual (which is hard to find btw). It should be connected as suggested in my first edit. Batteries paralleled using a set of type 2 cables and then the longer type 1 cables should have the positive of the master connected to the inverter and the negative of the slave connected to the inverter. This ensures equal charge/discharge of the batteries.

Hi Keith , what are the battery settings on the inverter, by adding a battery does this affect the charge and discharge rate etc etc? Thanks Chris

Can we purchase your sunsync inverters and batteries here in the US? I am not interested in SokArk.

Hi Keith, thanks for the great videos. I am looking to buy your 5 kwh hybrid inverter together with your 5.12Kilowatt hour battery, but I believe it's the pro max, or the one that can discharge at 1C. I believe it may contain Catl cells. Is that a good battery, or is the Byd One a better option. I am thinking of expanding to 2 batteries in the future for solar off grid system. I am based in South Africa, and I find very few reviews on these batteries, Here in South Africa local brands like Freedom Won, and Hubble seem to be more popular choices.

Both the CATL and BYD are nominal 0.5C charge & Discharge with only a max of 1C discharge. Do a side by side on the datasheets. Would someone you use them at their max rating, not if longevity is what you are after.

So what's the C rating for this battery? Is it 0.5 or 1? The specifications sheet says: Standard Discharging Current - 50A Max. Continuous Discharging Current - 100A (1C, 25°C ± 2°C) Max. Pulse Discharging Current - 200A (2C, 30S, 25°C ± 2°C SOC≥40%)

Hi Keith, Are there any plans to develop the Sunsynk app/interface to interrogate the BMS and provide individual battery health data? Eg cycles, individual voltages, Temps, cell health etc. It would be very useful to be able to see the individual battery data in the system but right now the interface only shows you the top level battery data, as if you only have one big battery. I'm fairly sure the Sunsynk can see the battery info through the CAN bus, in our case 4 x Hubble AM-2 5.5kw, dipped and linked via cat 5 but it seems that the only way to get at that info would be to add the Hubble cloud link interface

Hi there, just confirming, was informed that if I buy sunsynk inverter and sunsynk batteries my inverter warranty would be 10 years and not the normal 5 year, is this 100% true?

Hi. I have a Sunsynk in inventor and a battery. Is it really this simple to add an additional battery?
