Here are the awesome Five Keys again for another of their many overall national hits. After 17 excellent, soulful releases on the Aladdin label in the early 50s (including National R n ’B #1, “The Glory of Love”), the group eventually went to Capitol Records. Their 10th and last issue on Capitol, from the fall of 1956, was this song, which made the top 40 on the national pop charts. Rudy West recreates his original lead, and is backed by Maryland Pierce, Ramon Loper (who replaced Dickie Smith), Ripley Ingram, and Rudy’s brother, Bernie. As he often does, Rudy introduces the song.
