Holy crap! The Mother of All Drones! Great vid all the way around! Thanks for the listen!

Thanks for the great demo. I love my PDO. It is big, complex osc with a lot of and control. As you demonstrated starting at about 10:00, it excels at stringy bass sounds and drones. The oscillascope was very helpful and recommended. This was my first modular osc and I got pretty frustrated with it at first coming from a MS-20 and not having an oscillascope. I stuck with it and learned a lot in the process.

I hope you don't mind my asking but, do you have any tips for someone who has some experience wiggling but not a lot? I ask bc I admire the 'stuck with it' attitude you talked about. I have a small case with two oscillators, one dual lfo, one envelope, one filter, a dual vca, MI Beads and a stereo mixer. I think it's easy to find advice on what modules to get but less so on what to do with them. I've been doing a lot of experimentation but I was just wondering if you had any extra insights.

@@Skimaskkass sure, the best advice I can give is to just start out with simple patches and to try to figure out what each of your modules can do on its own. For example just use one of your oscillators solo and just tweak each of it's settings individually until you find some that you really like. Then add a filter and do the same thing, then add another module to the mix, so on and so forth. Next, try and create some of the sounds you like or that you have heard other people make with the same modules. Once you have a good base mental library of what each of your modules can do and how they interact with each other then you can really start experimenting with different combinations and settings without getting overwhelmed or frustrated.

@@sixdonuts great idea. I also want to give some knowledge back. I started learning to play guitar and playing along to a patch where the pitch of the oscillator goes up and down minutely like a square wave has been really fun.

Nice demo. I love my PDO. Nothing else quite like it. Paired up TBVCA and QAAF it is a very powerful voice. My only complaint is the failure to include the ability to maintain waveform settings between power cycles. Such a terrible undersight in its design. A mar on an otherwise fantastic set of modules.

when you use the sync input do the oscillators maintain their phase offset? so essentially you can have the oscillators start their waves at any point during their cycles?

I actually haven't even tried the sync input yet. I'll have to try and see what happens....
