Abstract: In this paper, a development of WO3 nanoplates based chemiresistive sensor device for 2-propanol detection has been reported for indoor air quality monitoring applications. Obtained WO3 nanoplates structure was characterized by inspecting surface morphology and structural anaysis. The sensing material was synthesized at low temperature by acid treated hydrothermal method. The fabrication of the sensor device was done by using a drop cast method on top of aluminum based interdigitated electrodes. On conducting gas sensing study, appreciable sensor response (4.31 for 200 ppm) with acceptable selectivity was observed for 2-propanol. Sensing mechanism has been discussed to realize the behavior of the metal oxide towards introduction of target gases.
