Now, I can't risk all of the progress I've made and the assets I've acquired so I've accepted that I will probably be alone for the rest of my life. I'm on track to retire around 55. I still maintain platonic relationships with a few women, which a lot of guys won't do, but I've found that it works for me because I learned to separate sexual attraction from platonic attraction. I like being around women without them worrying if I have an ulterior motive. You see a different side of them that they rarely show. Its also a good way to keep your social skills in tune, which a lot of guys really need to work on. I tried the isolationist thing for years. You just end up becoming awkward, socially retarded, and nervous around women. You don't have to date them, but I'd at least recommend trying to make friends with a few who are worthy.

I've been married for 18 years. I go through hell just so my kids don't have to live without a dad. I hope my wife will one day wake up and see the world how you do. I know it's a longshot, and she thinks I'm just being a jerk when I act like a traditional man, but I still have hope that one day I can have peace. Whether it's naivety or stupidity, I will continue being a strong man for my family.

I did much the same... until my wife was the one that left and left our daughter with me to raise because even she knew I was the stable reliable parent. Ages ago the "single father" was a prime target for single mothers to get their claws into, but now a dedicated single father is just boring and not toxic enough even for single mothers to be interested in. Just hold on and play the long game, eventually peace comes when the woman gets bored and moves on and you are wise enough to not replace her.

11:55 After falling for the trope "as a man you need to climb the financial wealth ladder and become a millionaire to be considered successful", I have redefined what success and wealth truly are. Success is when I have a wife with beautiful children and wealth is when your family loves you, wants to genuinely take care of you and doesn't want to move out while contributing to the household. It's not materialistic or of this world.

Kids are physical part of the wife, something a husband can never be. The wife can disown the man, the children are hers forever. Basically men are just another player. It hurts to realize you're not wanted anymore, you've been cut from the team.

I will never understand how a woman can be so evil and selfish to turn the children against their father when he has been a good man. Unfortunately, children don't want to believe mom can be lying even with proof. My ex cheated, admitted it, was already engaged, then divorced and remarried four weeks after. Tells my kids I cheated when I started a relationship almost a year later. Somehow, they believe her. God only knows what else she told them.

Obviously you don't read or understand scripture. The children actually don't belong to the women. That's false! It's the courts and man's laws that say that. By God's laws which will override man's laws eventually says that the kids actually belong to the man and not the woman. She can only take claim to them if she married to the man. For the children are of his seed. That's why they take his last name. Just wait, things will switch and the women will feel and experience what men have been experiencing. They will learn what weeping, wailing and nashing of teeth really means.

To be told by a woman with a golden career (own house, flash car etc) that you are not needed anymore was painful, but then her Mother became ill and died and she went completely off the rails. Perhaps because she suddenly realized she now had no one and all her dealings with the company she worked for had been superficial and meaningless. Had I been around I would have supported her in every step of a traumatic time for her with her Mom.

I’m an old dude who doesn’t play games anymore it his 50s. There’s somebody that I met a while ago that stayed in contact via social media. So I asked her to go out for a drink or a meal and she said yes that would be fun. So a day or two later I texted to set an actual date and she said I’m sorry I’m busy this week, which is reasonable. So I suggested another time and I did not hear back so I let it go. Now it’s literally over a year later and occasionally keep getting messages on social media or text saying hey when are we going to grab that beer and I keep saying you told me no you were too busy. She doesn’t seem to understand that I’m not interested anymore if you’re not interested in me. For a guy it would seem that if you were really interested, we would’ve been able to come up with a a date or a time that we were both available way back then and now she keeps Bring up when are we gonna get that drink? Btw, she was maybe 5-10 in within my age.. not a 20something

I predicted this very scenario happening in society *10 years ago* and made a meme about it on social media. I was so roundly criticized, ridiculed, and wrongly reported that I quit social media for years. Only came back with a new account a year ago. It's crazy to me how long it has taken for society to catch up to what I was seeing a decade ago.
