Thanks for watching Jacks 'CLASSIC SERIES" filmed June 6, 2009 on the WNY&P in northern Pennsylvania.
We are on the ex-Conrail Buffalo line. We chase a set of six axle Alco's southbound on the Driftwood Turn, on the Western New York and Pennsylvania. Todays power is the 631, (which as of today, 1/05/2024) is in the process of being scraped, and the 637. The first clip is a Turtle Point, PA. We then catch the DFT at Port Allegheny set out and picking up cars. The old Alco's sure sound good as they make their switching moves. Then the chase begins with some track speed pacing. We then get him at the top of the grade at Keating summit. The grade to Keating is the steepest grade on any Conrail line. The 631-637 are in dynamic braking at the bottom of the grade at mp113. We do some more pacing at Sizerville, and then past the signal at Camron. We finish up with a final clip at Sterling Run PA. before we pack it for the day.
Please be sure to check out my many other video clips from the 1970's up to today. God Bless.
