In this video I talk about the importance of having a morning routine, especially when it comes to working from home. I also talk about habit stacking which makes it easier to get started on whatever tasks you need to do, especially in situations where you don't have any external circumstances to rely on (such as a job where you have to show up at 9am)....
Having good habits set in place helps you feel more “refreshed” and ready to work and get stuff done with as little mental effort as possible (basically automating the mental shift) from waking up to being productive.
My own “stack” currently has 4 steps that are tied together..... I’m working on adding more, but for now, this is what we've got:
1. Shower
2. Moisturizer (and makeup)
3. Get dressed
4. Make my bed
