You can get proper seat cushions designed for use in vehicles. I think Halfords sell them I've seen a few drivers with them.

Yes, I'm looking in to that

Hi Peter If you could choose which bus you’d like to drive which one would you choose? Also, I don’t know if you’d done it already but I’d love to see you do a top 5 or top 10 of your favorite and least favorite routes.

From the buses available I'd choose the small E200 MMC used on the 377, as for a top 5 / 10 I'll consider that!

I believe there is a boy missing, I read it on the news paper, and he was last scene at the village.

Nice little duty, don't the union do anything about the uncomfortable drivers seats?
@BristolRE
2 жыл бұрын
You're joking! This is Unite we are talking about here, not the RMT. It's definitely these seats at fault as I worked the 377 route on Monday and had no issues, didn't even need the cushion!

Always a treat to have details of your duty Peter. I’d like to ask a question away from all that if I may? What is the procedure for a new mum to take baby in a pram/pushchair onto and off a bus?
@BristolRE

Just board through the front doors and tap in and park in the wheelchair area and apply the brake. Max 2 buggies per bus and you may have to fold it or leave the bus if a wheelchair needs the space. When exiting always go out backwards, so you step down, then tilt the buggy towards you so the child is being tilted backwards, so they don't fall out of the buggy, if you see what I mean.

@@BristolRE Thanks, I’ll pass that on. I thought that the exit door had to be used when boarding with such items as prams and pushchairs, in case the ramp was needed.
@BristolRE

@@GuyArab No, in general the ramp is only used for wheelchairs. Drivers can get quite annoyed if buggies board through the exit doors without asking / confirming first, sometimes they have to if the buggy is large but should always make sure the driver is aware to avoid the doors being closed on you whilst boarding.

@@BristolRE Well, well, well, I have seen so many board through the exit door that I thought it was correct way. I appreciate your answers.

@@GuyArab I've closed the exit doors on many because I was not aware - I was watching in the interior mirror for the last one to exit then pushed the close button, just as someone lifted the front wheels of the buggy on. IF you're going to do it, make sure the driver is aware first.
