In this video I will show how to work with the aperture blades in Canon FD 50mm 1:1.8 (new version).
If there was oil on the aperture blades or the aperture was just sticky or rusty, just like this old lens.
Remember to set a mark befor you disassemble the aperture assembly, so you can put things back in again.
I use Isopropylalcohol 99% to clean the aperture blades and parts of aperture assembly.
