Thats because it is largely a waste of time in most consumer car, even big uber expensive SUVs like this dont *really* need it. As you probably know bigger calipers/rotors dont reduce stopping time (of the first few stops). Most cars can easily lock the wheels/have ABS kick in. They do make more efficient use of the pad so theres less fade and more milage between replacing pads. But usuaully these upmarket "soccer mum" cars rarely see the brakes getting hot anyway. They are pretty awesome looking though i wont lie

It’s an avant, it’s super heavy. Plus you think they’re gonna make the the brakes specifically for a track ? It’s a mass produced car. Either way if they decide to take it to the track they for for sures won’t have any fade issues. Plus the rotors are floating rotors so they’d save weight. It’s an expensive car Audi knows what they’re doing and people buy them for a reason. Then again it’s an Audi so ewwww

@@christopherramirez6086 oversized calipers are usually a sign that the car is compromised in terms of braking performance. The idea of multi piston calipers is to distribute pad pressure onto the disc more evenly without exposing a large surface area for heat to enter the brake fluid. The reason you have to have bigger pistons is because the discs need to be larger, either because the car is either very fast or very heavy. Most road cars have the latter problem and are limited by the pad, disc and fluid materials and brake air cooling rather than the rotor size. I agree though, its not a track car but it seems excessive to have big and heavy calipers like those, bigger than the ones off an suv
