These days it seems like every man and his dog is jumping on the "overlanding" bandwagon but these guys are certainly the real thing. I don't mean to criticise what others are doing but you can visit almost anywhere in Europe, Canada or the USA (or even Oz) and be home again in a couple of weeks for repair, restock and maintenance. To be on the road for YEARS, one country after another, is just a whole other level. Total respect. In a sane world, these guys would be the poster-kids for the Land Rover brand but, unfortunately, it seems like LR just want to sell gin-palaces to footballers these days.

I've been watching all episodes of Grizzly n Bear ever since they left France. When Bear got stuck in a frozen river in Mongolia was the most difficult situation a 4x4 explorer would encounter. Leigh was in frozen water for a very long time trying to recover the bear. I love Ronny's shows equally. Glad to see both of my presenters in one show!

Same here! That was a pretty wild experience! Here in the US we have a piece of recovery gear called a plow anchor. It's basically an anchor that digs into the ground as your winch pulls. I would have suggested it for Leigh but they are pretty heavy and bulky.

@@leighdearle5965 Thanks for the reply. There's so many people who despise Landrover because of reliability but as my uncle once said. So happy to see you guys back on "home" soil and especially catching up with another Australian icon Ronny Dahl. Just one thing to be aware of Leigh is the ARB twin does have a tendancy to draw a lot of moisture from the air when filling up tyres. I am exploring putting in a dessicant system on the intake side to try reduce the amount of moisture that this thing pushes out. I am unsure how it is on the West coast but I know here on the east coast, specifically Brisbane and the coastal regions it is quite bad. Can't wait to catch up with you guys out on the road one day.
