It wasn’t an accident, it’s what we had left in stock. We built with what we had to get vehicles out as fast as possible. Yes some motors were hand wound, as some are faster than others.

Thank you for the insight. I suspected someone from the early days would shed some light. I have heard repeatedly from the pioneers the Roadster project was grueling, under the constant threat of imminent funding cuts, and getting cars into the hands of owners, was pure survival. The rest of us that came later, are in awe of the resolve and stamina it must have taken to persevere. As Roadster curators, and if you are open to it, we would love to get a bit more backstory from you. You can reach out to us at ev@gruber.com Thanks, Pete

Pete, I don't even own a Tesla (yet), but I am so fascinated by the information I'm learning from your videos over the past few days since I discovered and subsequently subscribed to your channel. I even had a dream last night about the inner workings of the Tesla design. It was like I had 3-dimensional thoughts going on about the engineering and technology. Thanks for piquing my curiosity about these vehicles. Cheers.

This was like watching the best unsolved mysteries episode ever. We have alien technology, we don't where it came from, we will attempt to reverse engineer it. Elon is involved. The original owner is dead. Another company is trying to misinform the world. Can you help us solve this mystery? *Queue unsolved mysteries theme* **Goosebumps** Seriously though, good luck and I can't wait to hear about your findings!

An amazing story. You have great infornation on many VINS of the Tesla Roadsters. We used to rewire slot car electric motors. We used thicker wire to go much faster. I can only imagine how it affects real electric cars.

Hey Pete, great video, I'm a Model S owner, and I have 9 Cybertrucks pre-ordered with the idea of keeping one of them, and selling the other 8 for a premium. There are over a million pre-orders right now, and when the Austin factory is fully ramped, they will be able to produce about 300,000 per year. So some current pre-orders will have to wait 3 or 4 years to get their trucks. When this truck is out on the road, and people see it, they will want to order one, and Tesla will tell them that the wait time be 4 or 5 years. I will have a truck they can buy, and have it much quicker, for a premium, to be determined. Love your channel, keep making videos.

Wow impressive find! An even faster Roadster Sport, that's a ludicrous Roadster. 0-60 in 3 seconds was basically the quickest a decade ago. Thank you for sharing this! How amazing would it be if it could be produced according to the same specs and actually make it faster?

Who is the new/current owner of the FB Roadster Forum? I’d like to avoid doing any business with them. I live in Idaho and Arizona is just a hop, skip and a jump away. I’d like to have somewhere to take a Tesla/electric car and Gruber Motors sounds like they care.

It is a two seater sports car without the comforts of the next gen Model S. But...take the top off, and let the wind blow through your hair as you zip through traffic, experience instant torque, and all the comfort design sins evaporate in this little amusement park on wheels.

Better to do drones not cars and push the f kin governments to let it be legal not like e scooter in US and UK .If you hire e scooter for 9£/hour is legal and your own e scooter is not legal :)))
