I just love how they always describe these insanely difficult taolu sets as "SIMPLE and practical" :D

I love seeing the differences between a linear style like American Kenpo and the full range of motion graceful styles like Wushu

hey, if you want to propagate someone else's mistake that is fine by me. thanks for putting this up btw. :) very interesting to see Liu Hai Bo doing Yuan Wen Qing's form, since they are good friends with each other. Also, "Dan" is the Japanese version of "duan" and is used for karate levels.

Elegant... wushu amazes me. Its structure and flow is so positive and strong. The chinese know something I don't. Alot of "somethings" most likely.. hehe

I didnt know there was dan in wushu. I must have been 7th dan because I used to practice this form and then the one after it.

i know this. if u buy the VCD however the romanized spelling of it is dan. as i said there are many ways that it is translated in writing so the argument over whats right and wrong is pointless. it is pronounced duan and in pinyin it is spelled that way but with respect to the chinese company that released this VCD I will keep the title the same as it was. If anyone else wants to argue about this argue with the chinese VCD company and see how far it takes u.

its not a mistake, when traslated to roman alphabet doesnt really matter, chinese may write kwan dao or quan tao or quan dao or anything like that its not wrong just like wing chun, ving tsung.. its the same thing.

it seems like he varied his speed throughout the form, was that more just so the audience could see every move clearly, or is that the speed at which he would do for judges or a stage?

check your sources I'm positive it is written in Chinese pinyin as duan.

this is how the chinese spell it though. i know the ponounciation is 'duan' but that doesnt mean that the way they spell it is particularly incorrect. pinyin and other romanized chinese lettering is full of little errors like this.

hahahahaa propogate? whatever u say. there is a whole different set of romanized chinese that will spell it this way. i basically agreed with u on how it was pronounced and was merley remarking on how some other system of chinese romanization spells it... and yes karate does use the word 'dan' but i dont know anything abouyt karate so thats not the angle i was coming from... its cool that ur a yuan wen qing and liu haibo fan. do u practice wushu?
