Actually, I think it's understandable that Xavier wants to be careful about letting Kurt know that his mother is a terrorist. I mean, he's still just a kid and he's already ashamed of his natural form. So much that his adoptive parents sent him to America just so he could be happy among his own kind. The truth about his mother might have instilled even more shame in him. If not, then it's also possible that Mystique could use the truth to recruit him to her cause.

If I remember this episode well enough, Professor Xavier, Logan, Scott, Jean and Rogue weren't just keeping the fact Nightcrawler's mother was Mystique from him for the sake of it, they were also keeping the fact that Nightcrawler was seemingly experimented on as a baby and that those experiments might be the actual reason why he looked the way he was. So they wanted first and foremost to know more about what transpired in that lab on that night (hence why Logan was sent to investigate the place) before telling anything to him because, if their assumptions were true, then... Not only did Nightcrawler being related to Mystique have absolutely nothing to do with his appearance (he harbours a lot of self loathing about his appearance and finding out he wasn't supposed to look the way he does under normal circumstances would definitely hurt him), His own biological mother choose to remain by the side of the very person who did it to him to this very day.

That is correct I believe holding the information from him is far more damaging then telling him about his past. So now he either finds out from a second source or has to discover it himself and personally that rubs me the wrong way but again that's just how I feel about It.

@@Venxous I perfectly understand your point and you are right. I do think they eventually told him what they know (but off screen) as it would explain his following interactions with Mystique (on top of what transpired on his side of the plot during the episode), as well as the fact that both the "lab experiment" and "Nightcrawler is doubting his team's truthfulness towards him" plotlines were completely dropped of the show and narrative altogether. Neither were ever mentioned or alluded to in any way until the end of X-Men Evolution. It is true that they withhold the information from him and he has the right to know about his past, and in turn his own self, but the way they found out is through a repressed memory from someone's fragmented POV (it went from night to day and skipped many hours). They would rather come to Nightcrawler and give him the full picture rather than an incomplete and perhaps misremembered one.

Kurt is honestly lucky Rogue turned out well. His family is Mystique, Azazel & his half brother Graydon Creed. Rogue is honestly the best thing from his screwed up family history & they prove you don't have to be blood related to be a loving family

Kurt's adoptive parents should not be forgotten about in the equation either.

Another good episode was in the later seasons after the public saw the kids fighting off Sentinels outing their mutant status to the world. Going to school was a burden and some of the teens (mainly Spike & Kitty) weren't happy that Kurt wasn't walking into school with them as they dealt with taunting from their classmates. I completely understand the frustration, BUT Kurt eh well I understand him because he doesn't look like everyone else. If memory serves, most of his time in the series (at school or in public) was looking like a regular white kid because of that watch hiding his true appearance from the world. If he ditched the watch and walked into school as himself; he'd no doubt get the worst bullying and abuse from the students/teachers.

This cartoon really helped me in elementary school. I have autism. So I've always known I was different from the other kids and had trouble relating to my peers. Then I watch on these VHS tapes and see this superhero whose very clearly different from everyone else and struggles to connect. But is he sad about that? Kinda. But he doesn't let it weigh him down. Instead he uses humor and happiness to make friends. That really connected to me as a child and still does. I ended up basing my personality off nightcrawler as a kid, and you know what, that really helped me make a lot of friends. Because of that, Nightcrawler will always be my favorite superhero, cause he helped me😄

"X-Men: Evolution", "Teen Titans" and "Avatar" were my absolute favourite shows as a kid. Since Kurt was my absolute favourite character, this episode is one of my favourites. (My absolute favourite episode was "Shadow Dance".)

I've been hearing the phrase, "if you truly love somebody, let them go" I've had a count of twelve deaths, six funerals, four friends two family. What does this have to do with the video? Mystique had to let her baby go she thought she was protecting him. Atleast she wouldn't want to see her son in a casket in my point as being an uncle who kinda acts like a dad sometimes when kids get in trouble on thier own it's parents to save them from those fears even some kids don't want to talk about.

I understand why they withheld the information but something like this better to tell earliest when you feel person is remotely ready, never going to be fully ready, rather than have someone else do the reveal.
