In this chapter, we take a look at some worn power window parts for our Fairmont GXL restoration and begin recommissioning them. The looms are simple, but we need some parts for the window motors. A couple of motors will be disassembled and checked out as well. We also buff the bootlid on the XW after I repainted it... it wasn't done well and I always wanted to redo it, the rear springs will be revisited as well in the near future. Also, we spend a few minutes on some 350/4 parts in the beginning of the video. Hope you enjoy!
** I mentioned in the video, that the grub screw at the end of the motor housing was a preload adjustment... clearly rambling while I was working... it will keep the rotor steady as the worm gear rotates and cancels the natural inclination for it to want to move forward... particularly as resistance is met on the mechanism as it operates... clear as mud?
