Watched this almost to the end, told the wife no problem i can do this lets order a screen. She starts looking for a replacement. I put video back on to see how the screen works after he replaced it. Then the guy says i can even adjust the contrast. Lightning bolts fly we look up how to adjust contrast and i am now a hero. Bless your heart she didnt know about the contrast knob on the back. Screen was to dim to see otherwise. Thank you.

This was excellent. I watched and, in some cases, slowed it down and rewatched. I was a little nervous as I had never done this type of thing before. I found another video to teach me the basics for soldering and “voilà.” My piano is working again with a fully lit screen. Thanks so much. ❤

This video production is lifesaver; best step by step video guide soldering repair LCD screen, I've learned, a common flaw with DGX 620 model. I attached same wires one had become disconnected to main circuit board (which powers up keyboard), Kudos! FYI this video solves another common issue - 'why keyboard won't power on'.

Just changed mine with the help of your excellent video. I had trouble disconnecting the screen power leads from commector, they would not move and the coonector started to loosen., so I did the soldering in situ. Just had to exercise a bit more care. Anyway, much obliged . London ,UK

Thanks for this video. I've been through the other ideas (put clamps on the screen connectors etc) but they only kinda worked. So I've got a new screen and I'm about to replace the old one. I liked the video a lot. The only thing I would change would be to slow down the actual soldering of the power connector. A lot of people don't have good soldering skills and some words of advice while you were soldering would be very helpful to a lot of people. Avoiding cold solder joints, not burning the pads etc. I'm delighted with the video overall. I've subscribed to your channel and if you set up a Patreon page, I'd give you a couple of bucks. Lol

@@PTranProductions Ok. I've replaced the display and it works better than the original. I looked at another video for soldering tips, and that worked well. In fact, I think you did it right. If people need to brush up their soldering skills maybe you could put a video you like in your comments. But that video of yours is da bomb! :)

Not sure if anode is always positive for electronics like this but in general it is not always positive. For anyone who might be concerned... if you reverse the polarity and you are not getting any light up for the screen then you can just switch the order of the wires in the wire in the clip in terminal at the power supply. If you cannot see anything on your screen be sure to adjust the contrast.
@PTranProductions

Anode always means positive. If you connect it incorrectly then you may damage the board due to reverse polarity. So be sure you connect the wires correctly Anode = positive and Cathode = negative.

@@BoomBang101 If you have any friends who knows how to solder to help you out, that would be one option. Another option is to cut the old wires and join with the new wires by twisting them together then tape up the connection - be sure to match wires correctly.
