Many of the people I interact with through this channel often have a background in philosophy, science, sometimes medicine, or other areas that are rather intellectual.
As a result, they approach the Dhamma from an intellectual standpoint and over time, it leads to a certain ``aroma'' that outsiders perceive.
They think that the Dhamma is difficult, hard to understand, complex, complicated, philosophical and often get quite intimidated.
But is this really the case? Is the Dhamma for ``big-brain people'' only?
Practitioners often think a big intellect is necessary to practice Dhamma.
They discard what is not smart/intellectual-sounding.
In reality, Dhamma is simple but hard to implement.
There are no bonus points for phrasing it smart -- liberation is what counts.
You REALLY do not need much. Just endure skilfully and understand dependent origination.
All the intellectual games are there to get you to actually DO IT.
