More about storm, I once saw an ANT player win against a miracles player who had double fluster and double force double blue card because they maintained pretty much perfect information through the game and took the lines that beat all those counters My mind was blown for that entire game, I thought the storm player had no chance

Storm is super fun. But also extremely hard. Playing it at the top levels of Magic is just... very extreme. That Storm Player you mentioned is absolutely playing well. Perfect information beats a lot of things.

I laughed in game 1 against ANT when you commented that there was no reason to flashback Duress at the end, since you would have countered the tutor if you had something. As a long time ANT player, I NEVER assume that my opponent is playing optimally, or even not making baffling decisions. If I had a dollar for every time I thought through all my opponent's lines and what I had to play around, only for them to do something bafflingly incorrect, I might have enough to pick up another dual land :)

you missed a little trick, you are supposed to activate mystic first, holding priority and then return batterskull to your hand, that way even if they remove your mystic they cannot deny the trigger which they in your case could have.

Regarding your decktech: The ONLY walker that would break open the fair blue mirrors more is Oko. Also, to answer "Underground Sea maindeck Duress who does that?" ANT does it frequently. You figured it out, but yeah, ANT is pretty regularly on Duress/Thoughtsieze split. Doomsday is also infrequently a user of Duress. I've seen them as a 1 or MAYBE 2 of mainboard, but very infrequently.

Awesome Deck! I'm building an Esper Griefblade deck that also runs Compleat Batterskull Jitte and Lion Sash. The thing I'm really wondering about is what are the benefits of running lion sash mainboard over jitte? My current list has compleat and jitte in mb and sash / batterskull in the sideboard but I feel like its sort of just a little arbitrary. I don't really feel like I understand what matchups I would side in batterskull or sash. Maybe if there's some matchups I need more lifegain I'd side in batterskull but even then I've got solitude and I'm not sure I really know when I would side sash in. What are your thoughts?
@DarkestFiction

In terms of how Legacy has shaped up, Jitte is very rarely a main deck threat for SFM anymore. For some reason, it's in the sideboard of around 90% of the decks I've seen

@@nightfox6738 in terms of what it does and doesn't do, the reason it used to be as good as it did Main was because of things like Ragavan, Delver, DRC, and going back, it was good for DRS. Now, card quality is better, and creatures are insane. DRC gets going and it's out of range, but when threats are Murktide and Uro, Jitte doesn't unfortunately do anything to help. Plus it's always in range of Prismatic Ending. It's just a very "meh" answer to things that are better handled another way

@@DarkestFiction But in comparison to something like lion's sash I don't see the strength of the later in a general case. Sure sash can exile graveyard cards but that is and always will be more of a situational sideboard play. Or did he run it mainboard more to test it? Even so, what matchup would you want sash over something like kaldra compleat?
@DarkestFiction

@@nightfox6738 Kaldra, like B Skull, isn't an end-all of the game. In Legacy especially, because you have Solitude, StP, AND Path in a lot of decks, where Sash can impact the graveyard and NOT be Plowed, Pathed, or Solituded, it can be a complete beater. I can think of a handful of matchups that I'd like to have Sash over Jitte. Lands is probably the biggest, with any Uro deck being a close second. In this day and age, graveyard hate isn't the sideboard hate only plan it used to be. Kaldra is good, but sometimes it just doesn't impact the way it needs to.

Honestly I've watched a lot of your legacy videos in the last couple of months and I'm really cold on back to basics the more I see it. It just seems too slow against Saga decks without fast mana and doesn't punish Delver much. I don't think I've seen a game you've played where B2B won the game for you. Ofc I don't know legacy very well so I'm probably just getting a skewed view based on the games I've seen you play.

Back to Basics is better in a more pure control shell, which can use it as a pseudo-win condition/stall condition once you clean up the board. Pure control shells can also dedicate more slots to card selection or draw, so they don't get the funky Kaldra+Back to Basics+Stoneforge hands, and can find or tuck situation cards easier. For a deck like this, you might want the flex slots to synergize with Stoneforge Mystic, or to keep you alive against annoying board states.

@@BoshNRoll I know, and shortly after FNM play opened back up I tried it, but going 0-X was not fun. I hate having to conform to a meta, especially when I only play $5 tournaments. It's hard to play the cards you like when they sit in a box.
