This song always makes me cry I can totally relate to the lyrics. When you try so hard in a relationsip and it doesn't work you feel so helpless.

You know, I would hear this song all the time at work and think to myself, "Is this Barenaked Ladies?" And I knew there was a damn good reason I liked this song!

I don't think they kicked him out. Maybe make sure you've got enough info. This is a pretty honest attempt. Ed's honesty needs to be recognized. You realize of course that these people who write music only succeed if it is honest and true to their hearts. that's a big part of Ed's success, give him that credit. I like Steven Page as well, but this and Ed's previous work proves he is very talented and exposed. That's a wonderful thing.

All the focus on the drama around Steven Page's exit and his relationship with Ed Robertson obscures the fact that the other three band members are damn fine musicians and their voices blend really, really well with Ed's and each others'.

Art and music are subjective, you might think this sucks while someone like me finds most of their songs really good and I find this one beautiful. Music moves people emotionally. I'll take this over Katie Perry and the likes everytime.

He's going by what Ed said in response to what Steven said about the song. Steven was upset because he thought the song was about him, Ed said it was only partially, to defend it.

Did you see their performance at the JUNO awards when BNL was inducted? It was awesome to see them play together again. They left the door open for additional side projects together; however, they very clearly stated they weren't going to get back together. I have to say that I've seen Steven Page and BNL since the breakup and both performances have been awesome. I've actually now seen BNL somewhere around 11 times.

This is the official audio. It's a fan-made music video for it with various clips from the tour, before the official music video was released (And I don't think the official one is blocked in Antarctica!)
