“There’s a lot of chaos in the world, and if you’re not very intentional with seeking out joy, it can override you.” YES! I’ve found this out the hard way the last few years, and got into quad skating this year largely for this reason. ❤

I decided to get back into skating since I was 15, it's been decades. I found your channel and I wanted to tell you I love your energy. You make it feel so approachable. Thank you.

Congrats on going back to school! Helping profession? You seem to “have a knack” for it. No, there isn’t much money in it, but you can get paid to help people- which I have found helps a lot!!

You are an exceptional human being, the way you communicate and teach is founded on the basis of your love to help others. I skated from the age of 7 to my late 20’s even playing roller hockey for my home city. Jump forward in time to 2001 I fell from a building shattering my spine which needed me to learn to walk again. Biggest challenge other than life with chronic pain is the depression and anxiety. I am now 57 and for the first time in 30 years I went to a roller rink Saturday night and the best time I have had in decades! Hope you read this as I tell you this because watching your enthusiasm was infectious and helped me get back on my wheels. Can’t wait to skate again as it was truly therapeutic. Thank you, thank, thank you 🙏

Hiii! I just found skating a few weeks ago. My skates arrived a week ago. The first time I wore them, I played your tutorial in the background. It helped so much. Today, I just learned to go backwards! Thanks to your tutorial

The lacing book is so helpful! Idk why I hadn't heard of it before. I'm a wide foot girlie and a beginner and it has not been comfy

🌸 to build on the outdoor skating question: I started learning to skate outdoors and the transitioned into indoor when it got too hot. But I’m finding that my weight distribution and my feet want to move differently than when I trail skate. Is there a difference there? I tend to lean more forward and am a more “aggressive” skater when I’m outside. But I also lean back on my heels a bit. Learning to skate indoors seems to be more of the weight on the balls of my feet. Is this a real thing or am I just over compensating sends I learned on trails where there were little hills and things

Im def a victim of the mens sizing, for anyone buying papaison skates you should size down in womens!
