Yep, the ENS, or the 'second brain' as some people call it, isn't really a thinking brain, more of a regulatory one. Some body functions, like the heart, operate independently of the brain, and some, like the ENS., operate in conjunction with the brain. My mother's been stuck watching these people for the last couple of years now, the 'self-help' corner of KZitem that actively encourage people to sit on their asses and think wishing hard enough'll make Cosmo and Wanda fly out of the grassy knoll and make all their wishes come true. For the last couple of years I lived with her while I was still in high school, she was completely indoctrinated. It didn't matter who I watched, Charlie here, the AVGN, The Autarch of Flame, an old "top ten" KZitemr I used to catch back in the day, they were all "the cussing guy" and I was "wasting my time" watching them. All this, while she watched almost daily uploads from the likes of Grant Cardone and Gary Vee, thinking she was a "hustler" for watching those crooks whilst actively having *no* cashflow or job. As far as my knowledge, she's still homeless. I blame it all on these things. These semi-human shapes that actively encourage people to mindlessly listen to everything they hear and prey on their good natures. I hope they never take a comfortable dump again in their entire lives, I hope everything they eat magically starts tasting like orange juice and toothpaste Words cannot describe how much I hate these people for ruining my mother. Affirmations aren’t a bad thing. People just misuse them. They think they’re magic words that will grant every last one of your dreams. Affirmations are so that you can nourish your brain with a certain type of mindset. If you’re insecure about how you look, if you consistently try to tell yourself that you are in fact good looking and that you have good qualities, you will eventually actually believe it. In turn it will make you more confident and so on… I must say though, a lot of what Charlie showed in this video is bullshit lol but not all affirmations are bad and you need to understand that they’re not magic. It’s you reassuring yourself, that’s all.

Yes the gym will not only make you look better, but you will start to feel amazing, and that confidence that grows within you starts to radiate off of you making you more attractive. Also pursuing new hobbies, and building new relationships or even building a stronger connecting with those who you know will help build character, and strengthen your worth. Like I saw a "mental health advice" in an app that tells you basically to get rid of negative feelings like feeling like you're being underpaid by your boss. The bigger faces of self-care gurus are untrustworthy bc they do not really do this stuff out of care for ppl they just want to prey on the vulnerable to stack some paper. The ones who are legit tend to run their own free blogs and ressources for everyone to share.

I recommend looking into Tony Robbins. His seminars cost thousands while a “platinum membership” costs tens of thousands per year. Workers are mostly volunteers and there are even youth seminars. His seminars are known to be 10+ hours long a day. On top of this there is a lack of breaks, purposely freezing rooms, and a constant level of high-energy intensity that is meant to “break you down to build you up”. At some people walk on hot coals at the end of his workshops. He has a Netflix special called “I’m Not Your Guru”. He takes self help to an extreme. Growing up with his teachings as rules made for an interesting childhood.

Speaking from personal experience, certain KZitem gurus can be extremely helpful for individuals who lack parental figures. I grew up in a single parent household and my mum was working 2+ jobs so she never had time to really raise me. I've never spent a penny on them but as a young man, it was incredibly helpful just to have someone anonymous tell me how to start working out, telling me to stop pitying myself and even just giving me a little self belief to put myself out there. Of course there are 1000s of absurd self help guru who are trash and 2 of the 3 I use to watch I'd consider weird rn but at the time it was great for me. Its hard to explain.

Good for you , well some can be helpful . I grew on my own. I'm still KMS personality and look down on myself but I will never watch these gurus. I only sometimes watch similar videos about " why are you tired " or " procrastination " but only if the youtuber I know or is away from Guru stuff. basic health care is important. And Hopefully I will value myself more, Because when I was child I use to be compared a lot. My mom always says she wish she had a better child. That's her fault for not aborting me , I'm always doing my best and time's changed so hopefully I will do well. Good luck to you too. I live alone yet but let's see if I have any luck in relationship. A crossdresser so not really easy to find matches all time , but no giving up. Be confident. If you want motivation , Don't listen to videos only . Take it with grain of salt. Even what I said , don't listen to me, Choose your own way of rephrasing them in a way that helps you. Like always analyse advice and see if it's actually good. There are time Giving up is important because , you can't waste too much time and there are times it's wrong. Quotes contradict each other sometimes. You choose your way.

As for the sleep thing: some people are literally genetically predisposed to staying awake late, and waking up later. Literally, their brains are hardwired to sleep at different times. Trying to go to bed at 10 PM will not work for some people, because their natural circadian rhythm will not allow for it. I assume this comes from early caveman days where it would behoove a bunch of people to not sleep during peek predator hunting hours. Having someone up around 1 AM when there's a tiger attack would really help a lot to alert the group of danger as opposed to just waking up getting massacred.

I was listening to these so called billionaires for advice but I ended up just burning out or breaking down emotionally. Yes, some things they say is very useful but most of it is just bullshit meant to make you feel like you aren’t doing enough. You are doing enough. These guru channels try to make you look at yourself and judge yourself but at the same time tell you not to. Just be yourself. And take advice from people who are actually credible. This hits too close to home, it made me pretty fucking sad. I live with my aunt in pretty vulnerable conditions - complicated history with parents, and my angel of a grandmother passed away 7 years ago, she'd taken care of me my whole life til that point - and she listens to this mantra, and has listened, on speakers while she works her independent knitting job, for the last 3-4 years or so... It's some bullshit that's titled "manifest your success, clean away all negative karma and make money" that just keeps repeating "I love you, I'm sorry, I'm grateful". It's honestly gotten sickening to hear it from afar or have to listen to it when I go check on her or she asks for water or such. It strikes me with grief, to a certain extent, because obviously it hasn't worked, our life just worsens and worsens with debt. She also pays for card readers, "money making incense rods" and all of this nonsense

The most helpful guru I have ever had any useful info on how to become more successful said all you need to do is do a few basic things: 1: Cut down your social media use and limit your screen time. (This is HUGE. You waste more time in a passive state doing nothing and being an ineffective, useless mound of flesh than you realize doing this, when you could be doing something much more fulfilling.) 2: Clean yourself up; eat healthy, stay hydrated, shower regularly, be active at least a little bit each day and make sure you get enough consecutive hours of sleep to replenish your serotonin. 3: Read 3 books on any subject. Take notes, really absorb the information in them and you'll become more of an expert on that subject than 95% of the population. The other 5% are reading 3 or more books on that same topic. 4: Exercise self-control. Make conscious decisions and do nothing on autopilot. Get used to thinking "Yes, I will do this" or "No, I will not do this" and then command yourself to follow through on your decision until you do it. 5: Create and maintain a routine. Do things at the same time every day; set alarms if you have to in order to make sure you do not miss the time to do what you decided to do. That's all you need to do. They're simple things that help you *find* the time to do the things you want to do. I have done none of these and am still useless, fat, dehydrated and unproductive, so maybe that's why I'm still poor. That or runaway inflation. Probably the former though.
